Q: Does Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy have any rape included?

jakarta.almajiedI was looking into Tess of the d'Urbervilles and discovered that Tess was raped in the book when trying to research if Far from the Madding crowd had any rape included. I could not find whether it did or not, it would be great help. I am quite sensitive to topics as so.

If you want to lure @Randal'Thor into answering our most recent Macbeth question, you need to point out it is Shakespeare's most mathematical play:
– "they / Doubly redoubled strokes upon the foe" (I.2);
– "se'nnights nine times nine" (I.3);
– "Thrice to thine and thrice to mine / And thrice again, to make up nine" (I.3);
etc.

@GarethRees I'm sorry this endeavor is tough for you. The question now has a positive score and only one close vote (I believe it had three at one point) so your effort has borne fruit. I don't think users who downvote or vtc revisit the question when it has been revised, which might explain why your revisions (or even OP's, in the rare cases when an OP does revise the question based on feedback) don't necessarily have results. That might explain why it's an uphill battle.
