@JohnRennie hi
John Rennie
Hi :-)
Jack Rod
hi sir i need ur help
actually I cant play video
I mean i have used two browser but none of them is playing video
John Rennie
On your PC?
Jack Rod
for eg utube
no in browser
John Rennie
What happens when you try and play a video on YouTube?
Jack Rod
11:15 AM
even twitter videos are not playing
i does load
but play back is slow
John Rennie
So you click on the video and it starts playing, but the video plays very slowly?
Jack Rod
slowly means not even starting complete black
and buffer circle moving round and round
John Rennie
When did this start?
Jack Rod
today
just right now I opened my pc
I clicked on youtube search my video
video appears but it does not play
John Rennie
Have you tried restarting Windows?
Jack Rod
11:17 AM
Yes
I shut down my pc
and started it again
John Rennie
That may not have done a full restart. Open a command prompt and type the command:
shutdown /r /t 0
Then after it restarts try again.
Jack Rod
then u have to wait si r
before I login again
will that be fine?
John Rennie
I'm here for another 30 mins at least, so I can wait for you to restart and log back in.
Jack Rod
11:32 AM
hi
no it does not sir
actually I have not updated my pc for last three years
John Rennie
Hi
Videos still won't play?
Jack Rod
naa
John Rennie
I don't know what to suggest. My next step would be to start Googling to see if anyone else has reported the problem.
It's Windows 8 on your laptop isn't it?
Jack Rod
yes
actually chrome for past six month saying to update
John Rennie
And you are sure nothing has changed since the last time you were able to play video?
Jack Rod
11:41 AM
my cousin was playing with it
actually he is just three year old
in morning till i left for some work probably it was in hibernation since that
John Rennie
I have no idea I'm afraid. My approach would be to wipe the disk and install Windows 10 instead.
Jack Rod
can we do it tommorow
John Rennie
Yes I'll be around tomorrow. You'll need a USB drive at least 8GB in size to hold W10, and you'll also need to back up the data from your computer as the W10 install will completely wipe the disk.
I need to go now. See you tomorrow.
