The name is kind of fairy tale, isn't it?
Once upon the time, there was a little lost robot...
The marked characteristics of a fairy tale are - they're short - most fairy tales you remember have source text that are under or around 1000 words long, which is remarkable considering how verbose the literature of that era is
They usually have a moral, expressed fairly overtly, through the protagonist's actions and subsequent fate
