I am curious if anyone is aware of the meaning of the "accuracy" rating on armor pieces in the cRPG mod actually does? Is it a bonus? A detriment? Does it help or hurt your bow/crossbow accuracy? The wiki is very unclear on this point.
Hi,
I'm hoping to compile a list of factions i need to raise in order to get the epic quest done on my iksar warrior. My only game plan as of now is to fight in highkeep and turn in gobo ears / gnoll scalps.

As a non-WOW player I have wondered: is possible to trade game items or gold outside of the game on third party websites? Does Blizzard have an API or something, or is this kind of activity completely non-sanctioned and takes place in a grey market?
Thanks!
It's a little late to be live now, as it's already over.
The NBC correspondent just tripped over the word kilometer twice (referring to it as "miles" the first time and having to stop and think for a sec the second)
I tend to define things that involve Minecraft as not-good. On an unrelated subject, I have one tag on my ignore list on Gaming, want to guess which one?
I downloaded Sanctum on Steam tonight. I was able to get through the first 19 levels of the Mine without the shield taking any damage, but I've now tried 4 times on level 20 and I can never take down the Big Walker. Is it possible or is he just there to absorb damage?
I have several laser towers...
Hi,
I want a Formel 1 game that is well made, is a Formula 1 game and that has a career mode. I have a 2nd gen mac pro.
A couple of years ago I played a Formel 1 game for mac and it was amazing now I'm asking if there are any with modern graphics, (this game had the requirements of a 300 mhz cpu...
Unfortunately Black Ops doesn't use PunkBuster, and VAC doesn't seem to be enough. So what is the preferred way to deal with players that are beyond any reasonable doubt cheaters (eg. you can clearly see in the kill cam, that they are using aimbot).
I've tried to find some information on the ...
I started doing L4 missions yesterday with a friend of mine.
We were in a fleet and thus, ISKs, loyalty points and faction standings were correctly split between the two of us, but we didn't find a proper way to manage looting and salvaging during the missions.
We both have our own corporation,...
I just want to be prepared for when I hit legendary difficulty on titan quest. By how much percentage will my primary and secondary resistances drop in legendary difficulty?
I watched a few LoL matches here, and I saw that sometimes there is the "6th player" on both sides. He does not actually play, but rather enters the game, stays in the base and comments on the game. How can this be done? Is it a game feature, or is it some sort of a hack?
Are Minecraft statistics and achievement stored somewhere on Mojang servers, or are they stored only locally on my computer? For example - if I logged into Minecraft on my friends computer, will statistics and achievements be "synced" and visible there? If not, does someone know if it's somewhere...
I have been wondering if there is a cake in portal 2 or not. I've seen this question raised on quite some forums but nobody seems to be able to answer it correctly. Some say there is, some say they don't. I've seen a few screenshots, but I'm not sure they are real, because most of them are just f...
@FallenAngelEyes I got every GW game when it came out, but I never got more than 1/3 of the way through any of them. So it's been fun actually playing through.
Also, the ability to fill a party entirely with heroes makes a huge difference for me
I'm not in a big guild or anything, just a small one I've had for years with a couple friends, so it's only a handful of us. We're just kind of plodding our way through, but we're doing well.
Oh god yes, that was such a game changer
Stupid Alesia >_>
I'd beaten Prophecies and Factions when they came out, but not Nightfall or GW:EN yet.
Finished GW:EN the other week and we'll be starting on Nightfall this week probably
I'm focusing on everything on my main right now, a N/Me, cuz I want GWAMM, but I feel a little bad about somewhat abandoning my A/Me and D/N mains I'd used for Factions and Nightfall :(
@sjohnston It's always money acquisition that slows me down in this game. :P
I'm actually working on that now, it's not as hard anymore with the changes they made.
Dailies and everything
Plus there's a certain mish you can farm and get it in a few days if you want, when it comes up. A friend of mine did that, though it was terribly mindnumbing.
I'm going the slow way though. Besides, gathering Gifts of the Hunter before I leave is good for the Drunk/Party/Sweet Tooth tracks. :)
Assuming that I scout well and find out that my opponent is going for mass marines early on (no gas, reactors), I still seem completely unable to counter marines when they come at me too early.
My sentries die immediately, so Guardian Shield isn't up for really long.

When I hover over steam or other tags in the list of my favourite tags, the mouseover popup is shown partially off-screen:
The page fit on-screen before the pop-up, and afterwards a horizontal scrollbar shows up. I can use my arrow keys to move over (an attempt to keep my mouse above the tag)...
@IvoFlipse btw, since you're complaining about people not blogging, you probably already figured out from my absence in the blog editors room that I kind of lost interest in it. Which is a shame, since I had one article nearly finished.
When I get home, I also need to rip and rearrange sounds for the SourceMod Mapchooser Extended plugin. I chose a bunch of new sounds for the tf (read: default) sound scheme.
"Friendship ends in 30 seconds!"
I also need to see if announcer_stalemate is just the announcer saying stalemate, or if it includes "failure" as well.
Also, it sucks for people who play Champion's Online, EverQuest, EQ2, etc... SOE apparently shut down its servers this morning because 'an investigation revealed a deeper "intrusion" than expected at first.'
That myth was distributed a week ago or so, debunked shortly after.
TomTom provides certain anonymous GPS data to governments to identify places where roads should be improved, widened, et cetera. The company never meant for it to be used for speed traps, and their agreement has been updated to disallow it.
@FallenAngelEyes Doesn't mean I don't have a TomTom. I used to, before Google Navigation.

I'm going through my rail network, replacing boosters with powered rails. However I'm finding that unlike boosters, which 'break' the laws of minecraft physics (by giving the cart much more momentum than its speed should allow), powered rails can't propel carts over very long distances, and it se...

i DON'T WANT RECOMMENDATIONS OF GAMES, JUST A SOURCE
There aren't many games in the software center. Where can I find games, free or priced but still I just want a source not a recommendation of a game.
Lately I've been quite nostalgic remembering my times my playing Ace Combat 3 and 4, and I was wondering if there was a more recent version of those, but no luck. I also tried Hawx, but it's too arcade, and Microsoft Flight Simulator is both old and too real for me.
What [combat or not] flight g...
i remeber playing in when i was young i think it must of been 1996+ i think, you were basically a alien and had to find pieces around the universe i remeber the start of the game you had to find a bike jacket so you could use your space bike to cross space to go to another shop//station//place! ...
@Powerlord Because they wanted to show that Aperture Science had just as much concern for its test subjects as for the other stuff it moves around in those tubes.
@Powerlord GLaDOS isn't the only sentient being in Aperture Science.
But yes, there are an amazing amount of plot holes in the game.
For example: In Portal 1, you see a behind the scenes shot of the test chambers and the observation rooms. But there are no panels anywhere, nor any of the expansive open routes you see in Portal 2.
And the tube thingies also don't show any of that in Portal 1, although P2 clearly shows that all those tubes pass through open space at one point.
The older test chambers are impossible to do without the Portal gun, and yet... according to the Portal 1 plot, he came up with the idea for the Portal gun on his death bed.

I'm referring, of course, to the Laser towers in Defense Grid: The Awakening.
I stumbled upon Defense Grid: The Awakening's very detailed steam stats page, and noticed the following:
This of course, perplexed me. All the other towers have specific damage totals for their level 1, 2, and 3 veri...
> All the other towers have specific damage totals for their level 1, 2, and 3 verisons, but Laser towers just have a single number. This made me wonder how Laser towers actually deal their damage. Do they do initial damage at all, or is the DoT the only effect they provide (and if that's the case, why does upgrading the laser tower increase damage as per the tower stats screen?). Is building more than one laser tower in a single area inefficient?
I understand monsters only spawn in a 9 x 9 grid of chunks centered on the player, and I assume they stay around while they remain within that distance of you. But do they despawn as soon as you move away from them? Or do they remain? If so what (if anything) causes them to despawn? Are the rules...
Okay, so I have Portal 2 on my PC. I would like to use one of its sound effects for a little project, so I started searching the installed files. Well, eventually I found a bunch of "sound" files. I tried to run them, but apparently I can't.
When I go to properties, the file type says: Sound on ...

Good day. I am still new to the stackexchange, and was wondering why I only get connection resets when I attempt to access the chat from http://gaming.stackexchange.com/. Is it something that my internet causes, or does the chat rooms deny my connection toward it?

I notice that Team Fortress 2 is almost 10 gigs when downloaded via Steam.
Why is that? Since the game's graphics are very simplistic, and I assume there's not like an hour-long 1080p movie embedded somewhere, where is all those bits going towards?
It's an ornamental gold cross with a controller directional pad shape in the center and two arrows on either side on the horizontal bars. Are you supposed to do something near it to activate it?
@Lazers I love how I left a comment stating that I was working on a longer, more detailed answer for this question, but the guy accepts RavenDreamer's answer anyway.
10GB seems a bit high. My numbers come out more like 5.8GB judging from the dedicated server version. This is a logical progression from the 4.85GB TF2 was at when update 119 was pushed.
Team Fortress 2 is split up into 6 distinct packages on the Dedicated Server side. It's likely split into ...
This does make me question why my dedicated server still has the highlander server from the competition on it... had to update it to bring it up to the current patch to get those numbers.
