Okay, the solution to my UDP problem from yesterday is coded. It's far from perfect, but should be functional. I'll test tomorrow, but right now, it's time to head home.

@Rapitor The thing is, cities in the Southwest aren't the same as other places. We are really spread out, population density is surprisingly low for one of the biggest cities in the US.

So three Starbucks on one street corner in Houston serves a markedly smaller population than three Starbucks on one street corner in, say, Seattle or New York City.

Yep, you can grow your own weapons and armor in RF4. Although, sadly, you can only grow Shortswords and Shields.

And it takes you that much longer to refill your spirit.

Yes, you can grow your own dungeons too.

I can kinda why you missed it though. Unlocking Dungeon Seeds is kind of an annoying Guide Dang It.

You have to head to the Sercerezo Hill (the Spring area) in the first week of the month because the path only opens then. Then you have to fall through holes in a specific order to find the boss that drops Dungeon Seeds.

The only downside to growing your own weapons as opposed to forging them is that you can't tack on extra ingredients while making them, so you're never going to get the maximum level or rarity bonus on a Plant Sword or Plant Shield.

Which, considering how big those bonuses can get, might hurt your DPS or survivability a lot.

On the other hand, a properly grown Plant Sword or Plant Shield can (supposedly) have stats that a forged item can never reach.

@Yuuki The wonderful system took a bit to grow on me, but I really liked it after that.

ANB...is kinda tedious in every aspect, sadly.

Having to balance crop growth with soil health, having to choose between leveling a crop or harvesting it (as opposed to just pumping it with fertilizer for the boring win-win), it's all really great.

It's very stealth oriented, which is a lot of fun.

Like, skyrim stealth where if someone finds you, you can just hide and they assume you went away.

But is it Skyrim Stealth where I can just drop a bucket on someone's head and then steal the clothes off their body?

Or Skyrim Stealth where I can literally walk two feet in front of someone in broad daylight (what little light you can find in Rapture) and he won't notice me?

Or Skyrim Stealth where I can peg someone in the face with an arrow and, if he doesn't find me, he'll just assume it was a strong wind or an animal?

You can, briefly. It's a little less broken than skyrim stealth, but it's not as unforgiving as payday, for example.

You can walk in front of someone and, if you're quick enough, bash them in the head without having to worry about it being a "backstab" per se

Splinter Cell stealth is best stealth

I liked stealth in the later Metal Gear games.

The alert mode was a good fix for the "just whack a guy in the face in front of all of his friends and then just run for five minutes" stealth plan.
