I find this talk interesting;

12:21 AM
@Mujahidمجاهد I hear something like this when a Da3e starts to speak "سم ام ما بعد"
I am not sure if I spelled it correctly, but I think you can guess what it means?

ثم أما بعد
meaning: and then to proceed

Thanks
How is your Ramadan going?

@yasar Alhamdulillah
i break fast in a few minutes
or maybe seconds actually
i lost track of time for a moment :)

I will break fast in like 17 hours :)

@yasar you are thinking of Breaking fast while you still have to eat Suhoor? :P

12:33 AM
I ate sahoor already, fasting started 11 minutes ago :)

@yasar ah ok :)

> How big is the market for halal - not just food, but holidays, fashion and music too? Muslim consumers - and how best to serve them - are the topics this week. Evan Davis talks to entrepreneurs who think they know the answer and asks how much can established companies learn from them.
BBC Radio 4 programme.
It's an episode of The Bottom Line, which is a business programme, so it's angled very much in that direction.
Thought ye might find it interesting.

Q: Why is question 14741 deleted?

Mohammad HosseinWhat is unclear about question 14741? had no benefit for me to know the unclear points of the question, (although I believed it was clear, I raised that for possible clarifications). Surprisingly, now I see that it's deleted!!! And no reason is mentioned for deletion. I want to know why it is d...

@TRiG Thanks

6:12 AM
muttaqun.com/zakatcalc.xls
Nice zakat calc

7:08 AM
@yasar Nice
but are there any evidence that Prophet pbuh could see women in mosque and without barrier?
yasar you could ask a question on this here

7:33 AM
@Pesla, Surely, any struggle against disease, sins and evil with Godly intentions is a greater jihad. But as for ADHD, I recommend you to try Islamic traditional medicine for curing your mental problems. As far as I know, modern psychology offers no clear explanation and proper diagnosis of ADHD. But traditional medicine's prescriptions for improving mental health can greatly help you.

8:04 AM
You may want to try Istighfar and Salawat as well. As for medicine for the time being, if you are hot-tempered, try watermelons, low-fat yogurt and vinegar. these are cold-tempered food that may help you calm down. for improving mental strength, honey is useful.

11:28 AM
@infatuated from where you got this presription?

3 hours later…
2:58 PM
@UmarAdeel , I have been studying about traditional medicine since two years ago. this is according to prescriptions of my trusted practitioners and sources.

4:34 PM
@goldPseudo, Salaam alaikum

4:57 PM
@infatuated wa 'alaykum assalaam

5:12 PM
It must be around noon there in Edmonton, right?

5:26 PM
just before. 11:30.

6:12 PM
When is iftar time?

@infatuated Is it Unani?

What are you talking about? medicine?

iftar is just after 10:00
so ten hours to go.

@infatuated Ya Unani Medicine
and what is this about sarkhi -sistani cashes what ideological differences exist between them?
i read 30 people killed?

@goldPseudo, and when is sahar?

@UmarAdeel, Yes, Islamic medicine is based on Greek Humorism and expands on it.

my close relative is Unani doc but left it for allopathy

I'm not too closely following the Iraqi news. but there is a demonic dream at implementation. disintegration of Iraq into smaller states easy to contain and control by US and Israeli imperialism.

anyways all that works with proof is allopathy

@infatuated around 3:30 in the morning.

6:19 PM
@infatuated But why is Shia major group infighting?
I never heard of this thing before
Who is this Sarkhi sadara?

@goldPseudo, so that's basically 18 hours. what do you do to be able to carry on with it?
oh that's 19 hours!

it seems people call them shia version of "wahhabi'" interested to know more about their beliefs?
@infatuated O please help bro goldpseudo to preserve his energy.
he should rest more then coming here and doing these mundane chat
in your profile also you have written something about "sadra"

@infatuated it's no different than you, i imagine. just don't eat.
the dehydration is the worst, but that's usually only a problem when i'm working up a sweat in the middle of the day.

I can imagine, yes. you can compensate by having enough water and watery fruits and vegetables at iftar and sahari.

i haven't even taken sehri this year. waking up on three hours of sleep isn't really something i'm good at.
i just eat one meal before i go to sleep.

6:34 PM
oh, can't you stay the night up and sleep at evening instead?
at any rate, you're doing a wonderful job fasting with only one meal per day.
@UmarAdeel, In my profile I'm referring to a famous Shiite philosopher who lived in 17th century. it has nothing to do with Sakhri.
Sakhri claims to be following in the foot steps of Imam Muhammad Baqir Sadr who led the Ad-Dawa Islami Party and fought against Saddam Hussein in the 1970s.
He was inspired by and supported Imam Khomeini's revolution and intended to encourage Iraqi shiites to revolt against Saddam and establish an Islamic state according IRI example.
But he failed and was killed by Sadam regime.
But Sakhri seems to be only causing trouble. He is causing infighting among Shiites and his followers have once even attacked Iranian embassy in Iraq.

@infatuated not really. not with my work schedule.
i'm lucky if i can get home before 7:00.

I see.

7:01 PM
@UmarAdeel, Traditional Humorist medicine is also supported by scientific studies.
I turned to traditional medicine after being failed by modern allopathic medicine on various cases.
modern medicine is highly influenced by pharmaceutical industry profit incentives.

7:14 PM
@infatuated very scant
clinical trials are very involved and rigorous and time consuming ,traditional medicines\formula often fail on a skeptics scale.
even if it works for you it might mean a placebo effect.
The point is that if Traditional Humorist medicine are proven by clinical trials then there is nothing which stops them from being used and would enter allopathy
Many of the allopathy drugs are infact natural preparations because they work and have clinical trials behind them.
and yet we have this quack homeopathy still lingering around preventing the correct needed treatments

@UmarAdeel enough of that.
if all you're going to do is argue that everyone else is wrong because they believe something you don't, don't do it here.

it's a long topic, @UmarAdeel. TM is growing very popular in Iran even among academia. It is taught at university level. you may want to take a look at al-Risala al-Dhahabia by Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha on medicine which is based on Humorist philosophy. He is considered the 8th Shiite Infallible Imam.
Al-Risalah al-Dhahabiah ( , ; "The Golden Treatise") is a medical dissertation on health and remedies attributed to Ali al-Ridha (765-818), the eighth Imam of Shia. He wrote this dissertation in accordance with the demand of Ma'mun, the caliph of the time. It is revered as the most precious Islamic literature in the science of medicine, and was entitled as “the golden treatise" due to the order of Ma'mun for writing it in gold ink. According to the treatise, one's health is determined by four humors of blood, yellow bile, black bile and phlegm, the suitable proportion of which maintain...
