I'm not good at telling one North American accent from another. But then, I've never spent any time trying to be good at it.

Roughly speaking, I divide North American voices into "says y'all" and "doesn't say y'all".

Q: Asking a Professor to coach my team

I require a Professor as a coach for my team in a programming contest. I want to ask a professor about the same. But the professor does not know me and as far as I know, there is no any work for the coach. Its just a formality. What should I mail to him inquiring about the same?
