@ACuriousMind I've run into the statement that every manifold has a parallelizable open dense set. I've never heard of this and cannot find any reference for it. Do you know how this comes about?

@ACuriousMind Specifically:

9:48 PM
hm... new goal: get 777 rep on Aviation and stay there.

@DavidZ Evil

@DavidZ Just for the challenge of it?

Because it's a nice looking number
I have 777 on Worldbuilding and it occurred to me that it would be a lot more fitting to have that rep on Aviation

10:21 PM
@0celo7 I've never heard this statement, but the idea should just be to take any trivializing cover and then shrink the open sets until their intersections become nowhere dense.

@ACuriousMind Did you see my new badge

I just dropped a sample in the coolant.
fml

@BernardMeurer No
Which one?

This bloody thing

This badge can mean two things: 1. You answer obscure questions that aren't viewed by many people. 2. You answer crap questions.

10:25 PM
@ACuriousMind Both, mostly the latter

@BernardMeurer If we ask ACM to do a Skype call now what's the chance he has an excuse not to

@0celo7 He will never skype with us

@0celo7 I'm up for it, partly because I'm resonably drunk :P

Wat
@0celo7 Have you talked to your sister in the past 2 days?

@ACuriousMind I'm at work, but OK
@BernardMeurer We doing this?

10:27 PM
I'm at the makerspace but I can always close the lab and say I'm working on something
sure, lemme grab me phone

@ACuriousMind get on Skype brah

I forgot my password again, give me a minute

@BernardMeurer I knew it
@BernardMeurer Which one

@0celo7 I'm there; you don't show as online

@ACuriousMind you need to update skype
@ACuriousMind does it work now?
@BernardMeurer where are you
@ACuriousMind Do you know how one would do that?
Especially such that the resulting union is smooth.
