The next release candidate for WordPress 4.1 is now available for testing. Seventy changes have gone in since the first release candidate. With no known issues left, we plan to release 4.1 tomorrow, December 18. To test, try the WordPress Beta Tester plugin (you’ll want “bleeding edge nightlies”). Or you can download the release candidate here (zip). If you’d like to lea

Q: Winter Bash 2014 Secret Hats

KevinSo far, I've unlocked one of the secret hats. I'm wondering what other secret hats are out there and how to earn them?

Oh, nice! The admin media screen is actually a JavaScript template! Undocumented. Again.
<option value="file" <# if ( 'file' == wp.media.galleryDefaults.link ) { #>selected="selected"<# } #>>
	<?php esc_attr_e('Media File'); ?>
</option>
~/wp-admin/media-template.php ...

what is that I don't even :)

Maybe it's drunk Matt sleeping away on his keyboard with auto commit enabled. :)
I tried to find out how the "Media Library" toolbar is built. 15mins later: Not a single clue. Giving up.

I don't see any mention about it in Codex.
Is it real?

Anyone looked through WordSesh schedule - anything worth seeing?

11:48 AM
@anu Is there a more in depth info than just the title of the session on the timeline?

anu
12:19 PM
@Sven Not sure, certainly nothing obvious that I found - those session titles should link to more details

who here has good/alright angular js experience?
I could do with a chat to ask a load of general questions
I've no codebase to debug so it's all theory

@kaiser I think.. I worked with it for a week

heh, i'm also looking into angular. a conversion rate optimization client of mine has their web shop on angular-based e-commerce platform
trying to figure out how to hook into some notifications about when stuff has happened on the page

2:23 PM
looking at the chat recently I hope these JS frameworks aren't a kind of contagious winter cold :)

3:04 PM
better stay away from it as far as you can, just to be sure...

Programming is easy like riding a bike. Except the bike is on fire and you're on fire and everything is on fire and you're actually in hell

lol! gotta retweet that :)

I don't know how to ride a bike, that explains things

how that?

how what?

neither do I

so, you feel like you are in heaven?

how is it possible that you can't ride a bike?

6:01 PM
my first bike required all my effort to push forward due to rust
my second bike was too big for me
when I'd grown big enough to actually ride it, it was rusted and covered in cobwebs
so I never learned ( I never had the need either )

You must have had nice parents. Learning to ride a bike is a cruel and painful thing and normally parents don't stop until you learned it.

my sisters learnt to ride bikes

I wonder why your dad didn't just learn you how to use WD40 :)

Q: Rendering the uploaded file in a wp.media object

setterGetterI have seen this question asked a few times on SO and I don't see any responses. I have a wp.media object (upload dialog), that I am using in to store an upload to a post as a meta element. It works fine, except the ul.attachments frame is not refreshing upon upload, see the screenshot I have...

I was 2, I didnt know what WD40 was
