@lkraav it's not really "product", starting Bootstrap theme is everyone's thing, finishing it is a fool's errand :)
@lkraav doing what?

composer install
but then composer update did everything right

idk why would you have reference to old repo

that's strange...
pushed fixed lock, had to delete lib and re-run
why are you looking at it?.. :)

what specificaly
hw or meadow+twig

11:36 AM
hwing... meadow is meant to be reused :) well, relatively

hw just to get something visible quickly with existing content database, and verify shit works
we're building our own stuff
does parent/child theming still work with meadow

yes, of course
rarst.net runs Trident, which is hwing child

no src for that?

no, it's private :) I don't deal with licensing BS for things I use for myself

@userabuser got it. Will look into it now. Started to feel lot better now. Working on two projects with emberJS. First week with ember was deadlock but getting more comfortable with time..

1:48 PM
@Sisir Been there mate... what do the projects involve?

2:03 PM
@userabuser one is mid level project. A facebook homepage like page for a membership sites. Which involves notifications, status updates, comments etc.
Other one kind of large. A real estate app that shows and represents data and historical graph for various locations.
Both have WP as core so bit of relaxation there when it comes to php :)

How do you adjust the default query for a post type archive?
Like, say I have a custom post type called "gallery" located at domain.com/gallery/ ... I've been using a new WP_Query(); if is_post_type_archive('gallery'); to retrieve my posts.
But then I'm querying the posts for that area of the website twice, because WordPress already has a preset query performed. I don't want to query the posts twice, just once. So how can I manipulate the default query performed by WordPress while viewing my custom post type archive section?
Do I just hook into pre_get_posts?
Is there any reason why I shouldn't alter the main query?

5:55 PM
@MichaelEcklund yes

@MichaelEcklund no

It's my understanding this hook will effect queries used EVERYWHERE in the site. So I should just make sure I perform appropriate checks before altering the query.

yes
@MichaelEcklund there are plenty of good examples on the site.

6:10 PM
@kaiser I think I have a decent understand of it so far but thanks for the good resource, in-case I get stumped along the way.
The reason this even came up is because I thought I had everything flawless. Everything looked good, functioned right, etc. Until I changed the posts_per_page in my WP_Query(); I changed it to something other than the default, and boom. 404 pages occurred in pagination.
Which lead me to think it had something to do with WP's default query.
Which then lead me to realize I'm doing redundant querying too.

6:32 PM
It should lead you to questioning and revisiting all your queries and the filters attached to it and its surroundings. Else you'll never find the real problem.

A: When would you throw a DomainException in PHP?

karim79There's a pretty hilarious discussion here about how no one seems to know what is means: http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=47097 From the end of that link: Domain means data domain here. That is a DomainException shall be through whenever a value does not adhere to a defined valid data d...
