Your best bet is the Git Bash

I don't rely on IDE plugins for git because I've been burned in the past

(Not everything gets committed, missing features in comparison to the CLI, sometimes changes from the past come back to haunt you for no good reason)

So there's nothing much a GUI can do to help you if there are hacks in place that prevent you from pushing sanely.

There are currently 3 maids in the Maid Café chat room: Me, Taisho and Karasu. I can search things, show word definitions and play hangman in my room. Karasu and Taisho post pretty pictures every now and then. One of them sleeps while the other works. Regretfully, Ruri is no longer among us, so she can't play any games with you. We will always remember her

Anyways, I'm looking for recommendations I guess. Wanting movies or short series that have at least one "charismatic leader" type character in them. Need some character inspiration. Fantasy preferred as this is to create a character for a D&D game, though if you can think of a good example regardless of genre let me know. Afterall, any sufficiently advanced technology is no different than magic.

I prefer fantasy genres in general. I'm making a character for someone else and the only real thing they gave me to work with is to base it off of "a show or anime or whatever" and that they're interested in playing a charismatic leader type.

Thus far, my ideas are limited to... Alistair from Dragon Age Origins, Eddie Riggs from Brutal Legend, and someone recommended Kamina from Gurren Lagann. Problem is I'm not really a big fan of mecha anime so it's hard for me to get into Gurren Lagann.

I'm talking more of a medieval fantasy vibe. Though Goku would be an interesting thing to play it's hard to bind his powers to a game perspective, especially a low level character.

Naruto does get charismatic quite suddenly, but such a brat to begin with. But he starts out overpowered, without knowing it

But even majorly strong characters that have certain types of abilities can be devolved for low-level play. Say Tatiana (Fairy Tail) or Haru (Rave Master).

Though Haru isn't so much a strong character to begin with either way.

The fact of the matter is their abilities boil down to a certain set of skills, which works out well from a gaming perspective. While characters like Goku have... well everything lol

In fact some of the jokes from Fairy Tail originated in Rave Master, and the characters are very similar between the two series. Though technically the universes don't interact, there was a non-canon crossover manga made due to popular demand lol

The manga has some interesting early development stuff too. Hiro Mashima talks about his brainstorming process for some of the characters (particularly Haru)

Slayers/Orphen are also top tier in my eyes. Problem is none of their characters really have the charismatic leader type of ideal TT_TT

The vague archetype I'm thinking of is someone who can handle the front lines, sword and armor and such, maybe has a little magic and ally buffing stuff... I have some good ideas to take this but it's supposed to be specifically geared towards a character theme...

When my friend first came to me with this project I thought of using Akatsuki from Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero. Seems to fit the charismatic leader archetype to a T, but the problem is his particular skillset doesn't easily translate into the game.

@AsadaShino Just so long as it's not going to get me in trouble I'm fine with it. I'd likely play my meta-character anyways if I'm going to do that. My meta-character essentially being a translation of me (and the crap in my head, created characters and...other insanity) into a roleplay aspect. To put it simply, a form shifter (where each form might have a different personality from the last as well).

Well, the thing is... Hmm...

I guess you can say the real me (we'll say Bob, not my real name but yeah) and the online me, Dorian, are rather different in general. Add to that my various RP personae and that changes even more so.

The thing is though, the form I'm in would display the personality.

One example would be Hakumei, a Kitsune character I've had for a very long time. He's happy, outgoing, rather comfortable and confidant, and very playful and mischievous. He does have negative emotions, but he never shows them.

Another example would be Raziel, one of my oldest characters. He's the "Noble Vampire" type of character, and though I've used him as a vampire in some roleplays he technically isn't. He's closer to a fallen angel. He gives off that "Noble Vampire" vibe though. Very aloof, quiet, brooding, and cranky as all hell if you wake him up (though you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at him). He's also very professional and polite, even to his enemies.

A third, Delyth, a cold, calculating, apathetic and asexual girl who has two modes: Don't care and Pissed

Each one is a different "me" and when RPing my metacharacter, depending on the form taken would depend on who's in charge.

Think of it like shapeshifting with multiple personality disorder.

Where each shape has a different personality.
