Twintails' ED is nice

The anime may not be that good, though

The plot is too shallow to my liking, though if you are in it for the moe, then it is watchable

Honestly, not that interested in any of them.

Maybe I'll watch Durarara and iDOLM@STER.

@ton.yeung I know of most of them through manga.

And I know that I won't be terribly interested manga-wise.

A good half are also light novels.

Light novels are the thing right now.

Everyone's adapting them.

But yeah, winter looks like it'll be pretty sparse on comedy.

So, I probably won't be watching much.

I honestly can't see one that I feel like I'd be interested in comedy-wise.

Maaaaaybe Saenai Heroine, but that's an extreme long shot judging by the manga.

And if I can't laugh, I usually lose interest fast.

Also, someone should star/pin that list. Don't we usually do that for season listings?

I know most of them first hand (manga/light novel or previous anime season), except for 2

Most good RPGs can't be one-day marathoned.

And other games I pick are easily split into digestible chunks.

Like Monster Hunter. Most hunts are ~20 minute affairs.

Give or take 10 minutes.

@ton.yeung It involves consciously choosing a new monster and starting up a hunt. It's not like FF where you just run around until an encounter pops.

It's essentially like doing a 5-man dungeon in WoW. You pick which one you want to do, gather up a team (unless you feel like soloing it) and start.

Once you finish, you have to do the same start-up process again.

@ton.yeung Well, then I don't see how you can consider anime more chunkable. You can just start up the next episode.

And watch for weeks on end.

Saenai is a bit weak from the manga adaptation, Isuca is another onmyo series, but I think it is weaker than Tokyo Raven, Shinmai is quite readable, IMO

@nhahtdh I've read Shinmai. Fanservice is a bit heavy and it's not enough comedy for me.

I may watch an episode or two, but I don't expect to follow it.

I don't really expect to follow anything this winter season.

Fanservice is a staple nowadays

Might just rewatch Inou-Battle until spring rolls around.

@nhahtdh Fanservice has always been a staple. Doesn't really bother me, it's just that I usually require something to back it up (namely, comedy).

Or rather, I prefer fanservice to back something up rather than be the main focus.

I also love comedy, and high pace comedy hooks me up

And if Shinmai lacks anything, it's definitely comedy.

I tend to parcel out my genres among different mediums.

Both of them got some strong plot and psychology going on to back it up

My movies are generally serious and/or action-y affairs (just watched Fury and I'm gonna catch John Wick and Interstellar next week) while my anime tend to be comedies.

A manga that is comedy genre, but the anime fails to bring it in is Trinity Seven

Yes, free tickets to those movies is awesome.

But having to serve food/drinks during those movies and possibly/definitely spoiling yourself sucks.

I'm definitely going to get my free tickets worth out of Big Hero 6 though.

I have a tendency to rewatch Disney movies a lot, so I feel like I'm gonna save a lot of money this time.

For reference, I believe I saw Frozen in theatres about 8 or 9 times.

The way I see it, the description of the tag list input control should be something that tells the user to type the anime/manga title which the question is about or a special tag. Special tags are identification-request, anime-history, manga-production, terminology, tropes or any other tag that ...

Custom stuffs are not too extensible

another way would be to add a "Help me tag this question!" link that would show a hint saying "Enter the name of anime/manga your question is about. If your question is about the name, use id-request. If it's not about a single anime/manga, use one of the special tags (see them)."

On the UX side, making user go through another checkbox is a bit annoying

yes, but so is not knowing how to tag and not having any "help me" button

it's not really a big problem, since users can fix it in a matter of minutes

but it should be entirely possible to find out that info easily enough without the help of experienced users

new user is never good at tagging

Even if you show a bunch of help, no one is going to read

an easy way is adding a (?) button which you can hover above to see a tooltip about tagging

Except for meta, where the 4 types of questions are fixed, I think it is not a good idea to fix the list of meta tags on our site

when you click the tag input box the following hint shows up on the right:

► don't include synonyms
► combine multiple words into single-words with dashes

today I added soy sauce as usual to add some taste to the noodles, ketchup and garlic sauce

ketchup had some greeny bits which were enough to give a feeling the food has some green on it

but the actual green would be much nicer

and I couldn't find any fine cheese to add onto noodles
