Also I think it says a lot about flights from/to Australia that 3/4s of contests on the front page of Flightfox involve Australia.

That's a massive overrepresentation.

It's possibly also because it was a startup originally based in Sydney...so as word spreads, it logically would feature more Aus-related flights.
