I had to dig into chat logs in a room that is now deleted (and inaccessible to you all) to figure out what happened.

People are inexplicable sometimes. There's nothing you can do but let them be whoever they are.

I don't think there's any hope of convincing sawa to change his mind. It's been more than two years since he made it up

Users often want to take their content with them when they go, but the site doesn't work that way.

I don't think I ever said publicly who the troll was/is. I mentioned the troll accounts being deleted on that thread because sawa brought them up as an example of moderators deleting accounts, so I had to explain the difference between deleting a troll account and a legitimate account

Moderators don't typically delete legitimate accounts offhandedly—in fact, usually moderators don't delete legitimate accounts at all and instead refer them to the community team

@AndrewGrimm I didn't see any trolling targeted at you

Although jkerian and Dave dealt with some of it so I haven't seen all of it myself

I think I was the one who destroyed that account though
