@AndrewGrimm Don't be claiming random false things on the other site like I voted you down or I did a troll. — sawa 24 mins ago
@jkerian you said "There have been some earlier discussions on this meta site about your sexuality topic, but honestly I don't think that's terribly relevant." [emphasis added]

@AndrewGrimm ahh... I just meant the one that they quoted.
Err... wait... now I'm confused. I thought one of those links was going to go through to a sawa post or something.
@AndrewGrimm I just linked your meta-post under the "we've already talked about this... take a look", because basically no one searches meta before posting (self included)
As I said, you're reading too much into my post. As I mentioned... I didn't actually have any idea who it was at the time I wrote the post.

1:10 PM
@jkerian ok

IIRC, there was something funny going on with the moderator tool... it wasn't showing me who they were connected to because it doesn't connect the meta site to the main site for IP cross-checking.

I wasn't the only person thinking that I had been downvoted by Sawa. Choco had previously suspected that I've been downvoted by Sawa. Soon after I had complained about a downvote, she posted a link in chat that showed that Sawa had recently (in the past week as of the chat message) cast a downvote.
But, if Sawa has requested his JL.se account be deleted, then I'll know that any future downvotes aren't from that account.

@AndrewGrimm Considering some of the history... I think we can safely assume sawa has downvoted you. However, not consistently enough to trigger the auto-correct
Eh... there are some site users with very strong opinions that the topic boundaries of the site should be narrower. They'd have a much better chance of succeeding if they voted to close and explained why, rather than downvoting, but we don't certify votes as moderators.

Or even downvoted and explained why would be better than just downvoting.

It would indeed be better.

@sawa please minimise the amount of interaction with me. — Andrew Grimm 16 secs ago

うわぁ・・

@AndrewGrimm I will stop interacting with you as soon as you stop writing false things about me on the other site. — sawa 1 min ago
@AndrewGrimm I will stop interacting with you as soon as you stop writing false things about me and harassing me on the other site. Please go away from my sight. I don't understand why you keep sticking around me. — sawa 7 mins ago

I've already got an answer about a Japanese(-ish) cuisine question on Travel.SE! :)
2
A: Where can I eat sushi with chocolate in it?

algTry searching for "temaki de chocolate" instead. Searching for '"temaki de chocolate" Brasilia', for instance, got me the Sushiloko chain and a number of other restaurant mentions (I think - I don't speak Portuguese). It looks as if temaki with chocolate and banana, in particular, is certainly ...

Good night! (I hope!)

@AndrewGrimm Well, regardless of whether or not it makes sense, if you stop talking about sawa presumably he'll stop abusing his Stack Overflow privileges to contact you out-of-band

@AndrewGrimm As far as I'm aware, sawa has been active (in voting) on Japanese.SE for quite a while.

@AndrewGrimm I don't have any reason to suspect that sawa has downvoted you in bad faith. As long as that's true, people can vote however they like

The system is designed to allow anonymous downvotes on purpose

I know people don't like it, but Stack Exchange isn't about to take the opinion here into account

There's been a lot more discussion on the subject over on Meta.SE (previously on Meta.SO)

I've seen people, both competent and incompetent, with ridiculous numbers of downvotes on SE sites

Anonymous
That's just how it's designed. Don't take it personally :-)

Anonymous
People get upset here because of downvotes, and because of rude comments and so forth

Anonymous
Which is sad

Anonymous
I think people are sensitive to comments telling them they're wrong, so even if they aren't intended as mean they can be perceived as mean

Anonymous
And when people aren't particularly trying to be nice, then that gets magnified and they can seem really mean...

I suppose especially here, so many people discussing the language are non-native speakers and some of us (like me) are kind of insecure because we feel unsure about things :-)

もっと早く、ここを知っていたら勉強になったのになあ、と思ったものです

Oh, it looks like it auto-suspended the sawa chat account because the parent is suspended

Let me see if I can fix that
