@DariusJahandarie but grammar pedantry does have one odd feature -- which is that native speakers generally get to make the rules and break them at will, but non-native speakers are stuck under the tyranny of those pedants

I do think ん+vowel words end up with some pretty weird pronunciations sometimes
(Where by 'weird' I mean unintuitive to a native English speaker)
