Are there an analogs for (possibly regional) fixed responses to acknowledgement-sounds like うん?

Let me set up the context:

In my region, "ya" can be met with "ya ya papaya" as a playful/mocking response.

Also, "oh" (sounds like "oar" but without the "r") is what yam is called in Hokkien. Acknowledgement with "oh"(yam) is frequently met with "han tze"(sweet potato).

@Flaw That reminds me of how people respond to "hey" with "'hey' is for horses"

@snailboat @Flaw よろしくお願いします。 (お辞儀)
I rejected an edit introducing a new tag [particle-demo]. I guess we could have such a tag, but at least I wouldn't always know when to tag a question with [particle-demo] or with [particle-de],[particle-mo]. In any case, if we want [particle-demo], the tag should probably have more than one question... Any thoughts?

I think it was snailboat that added that, hehe.
I think it makes sense to have. It is distinct from de+mo in my mind certainly, and as I think snailboat looked up earlier, at least 明鏡 has an entry for it.

@Earthliŋ I tried to start a little discussion about that in chat yesterday :-) To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure what to do.

I create new tags all the time :-) A lot of them don't catch on, and the system deletes them in six months.

I think the system removes tags that ① are on less than 5 questions, and ② have no tag wiki.

So sometimes I make a little tag wiki excerpt to keep the system from removing a tag.

I'm a little surprised that the tag survived

Oh, we have one of those?

Oh, I see

Does anyone object to just retagging those 8 questions to kill the tag?

We can all agree that it's one of those "meta tag" thingies people talk about so much, right? :-)

@mirka We've been doing a little bit of cleaning up the tag system this year, although there's probably a lot more to be done!

I was also thinking about renaming (which is only on three questions) to

Q: Let's destroy the "homework" tag

snailboatToday in chat, mirka pointed out that the homework tag exists. I think this is clearly a meta tag: If the tag can't work as the only tag on a question, it's probably a meta-tag. Every tag you use should be able to work, more or less, as the only tag on a question. Meta-tags, like [beginner],...

@DariusJahandarie Is de+mo always demo?

No

Sometimes it's clearly just で+も :-)

Ok, good. That's what my intuition told me, but I could just have been confused, I never know ;)

明鏡 says it's a 副助詞, but I think they treat 係助詞 as a subtype of 副助詞 (at least as far as Modern Japanese is concerned)

I've really got to get a better understanding of how 副助詞 work in 学校文法

The tag is supposed to be for the 係助詞 in the second excite (大辞林) link above, where the combination of either copular で or case particle で plus も has been reanalyzed as a single particle.

I made a tag wiki for :

> 助詞「でも」. Questions in which でも is a single particle, listed as a 係助詞 or 副助詞 in most dictionaries. This is derived from, but not the same as, the combination of either copular で or case particle で plus も.

Does that make it clear enough?
