@Daniel More than one.
My attributing it b'derech "efshar" to being a replica of the rebbe's invitation was a complete guess, by the way. I have no reason to think that that's true beyond the fact that chasidim often do things the way their rebbeim do.

A: Proposed entries for the glossary

msh210Can someone please add "סגולה" to the glossary? It's used many times on Mi Yodeya. (I'd do it myself, but I don't rightly know what it means. (Though this helps a little.))

@msh210 well one person replied to my Facebook post saying it's a copy of the Rebbe's invitation but with no additional information about why one would want to include incorrect information on the invitation for the purpose of imitating the Rebbe. Especially when only some of the information matches the Rebbe's.

@msh210 I've heard of it too and with the same reason. @Daniel.

@Daniel Yeah, that last is what seems so strange to me. If you're putting the wrong time on, why not the wrong place and names and date? Are you planning to ask about this on MY?

@msh210 nope. But only because I already did ;)

Q: Why do Chabad wedding invitations show the wrong time?

DanielIt has recently come to my attention that Chabad wedding invitations in the US are often bilingual Hebrew/English and the time given for the wedding on the Hebrew side is wrong (perhaps a copy of the Rebbe's invitation?). Can anyone shed any light on what this is and why it's done?

@Daniel Wow. I'd seen that (I'd upvoted it) yet (obviously) I had no recollection of it when I just asked you that.
I think I need to stop eating olives.
Or start eating gingko.
Or eat some pizza.
Yeah, that sounds best.

Funny that @DoubleAA has a single binding close vote on judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/70928/… because of his gold halacha badge, and not because he's a mod. Weird...

@Shokhet I guess it's because I may not always be a mod but I'll always have that badge.

@DoubleAA Hrm. I suppose.
