@SethJ I think you could go either way. It could stand on its own and not be a dupe, or, if @MonicaCellio's OK with it, it could be an additional angle within her question, since it's reasonable to expect that one answer could answer both questions (and there aren't answers on hers yet to get obsoleted).
@SethJ that's kind of what I was getting at with my last parenthetical comment -- why relent at all, and if so why that much? I wasn't sure whether trying to fold that into this question would be too much. If you want to ask separately that's fine; if the feeling here is that it should be part of mine that's also fine (as @Isaac said, there aren't any answers to worry about yet). What do you think Seth?
@MonicaCellio I think if you focused your question to the title it'd be clearer and would probably point to an answer that would answer my question as well. I think the question as worded made me a little uncertain because it's a little unfocused.
@MonicaCellio But there's a lot going on in that story, so I totally can relate to being a little unfocused with a question about it.
@MonicaCellio My question sprang up as I was learning it - wait, why did he give her two nights? Why not just one?
@SethJ yeah, there's a lot going on there and I had some trouble writing that question. I'd welcome specific suggestions for improvement (or an edit) to focus it and also get the answer to your question.
