@Scimonster which one was it missing?

14th-century Sefardi. I don't think I've seen those alef-lamed ligatures elsewhere, though I haven't made a study of Hebrew calligraphy.

@MonicaCellio those ones specifically, or אל ligatures generally? I've seen the latter in print.
@Shokhet you don't have privileges to see judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/81832 , do you?

@msh210 It looks like he does.

@msh210 in general; I don't think I've seen this before. Are there other pairs of letters that also form ligatures, or just these two? (These two do seem to naturally lend themselves to being combined. I can't think of others that do, but I haven't exactly walked through the 22^2 combinations either. :-) )

@MonicaCellio I mentioned this one when checking for sheimot in DoA-MY?

@IsaacMoses What about the aleph+lamed ligature? Also not sheimot?
I think this is the most common one.

@Scimonster oh, so you did!

@Scimonster and iirc the only one in Unicode.

@Scimonster Oh, I thought it was 20,000.
@msh210 ... anyway, @Shokhet, judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/81832 asks:
> A pegimah in a Shechitah knife is prohibited. Why are we more machmir today and insure that there is no hargasha as well?
Someone commented:
> First of all, the jargon should be removed. What are 'pegimah', 'Shechitah', 'machmir', and 'hargasha'? Second of all, assumptions should be sourced. How do you know that "A pegimah in a Shechitah knife is prohibited", or that "we are more machmir today and insure that there is no hargasha as well"
My question for you, @Shokhet, is: Is the underlying question -- assuming it were written better -- a good question?
If so, and if it's undeleted, would you mind editing it so it's good? Or, alternatively, would you mind asking it again, well?
I mean, it's a shame not to have a good question.
Meanwhile, @MonicaCellio has commented on that question:
> I don't know if you'll see this comment, but I hope you'll consider editing to explain the terms you use a little more. While an expert in shechita will know what you mean, we strive to make our body of questions and answerers accessible to a broader audience too so that non-experts can learn. I hope you'll edit and undelete. Thanks.
(The other comment, and the question, date to a couple weeks back. MonicaCellio's comment is from today.)
So I guess we should wait a bit before taking any action.
But would you consider taking one of the actions I mentioned if the OP doesn't edit and undelete?

@msh210 I do. Viewing deleted posts is a 10K thing. I have 12 :)
@msh210 I'm...not sure what he means to ask. TBH I haven't reviewed the halachos in a while, but I can't say what that questioner refers to when he says "הרגשה."
@msh210 So, to answer your question...maybe?
He might be asking about checking אבשרא ואטופרא
....but no, because that's something most are more meikel on, compared to what was done previously
...I can define all of the other terms that @mevaqesh listed in his comment, there. I'm not sure that we really need to define "shechita" whenever it's mentioned, especially when it's on a question with the tag attached.
And as for the sources, I can provide those for "How do you know that "A pegimah in a Shechitah knife is prohibited"" if need be
If someone else can enlighten me as to what that question means to ask, I'd welcome an explanation as well :)
