@msh210: Fair. OK, I have now asked her to explain.
If this was a mistake, feel free to delete my comment on her question.

@msh210 There are currently two VTCs as UWYA, plus @tealhill's comment, plus your chat message. Give a binding VTC?
@tealhill No, it's fine. Thanks for mentioning it to them.

@mods Don't worry about the high number of (comment) flags, they're not urgent.

@Scimonster I saw the flag count before I saw chat. I was thinking "wait, what blew up overnight?!", but then I looked and saw what someone -- I presume you -- was up to.

@MonicaCellio I wrote myself a query to find 'thanks' comments on accepted answers.
Then i went clicked on a bunch and flagged them. :P I think i'll do it again next week after the DE updates to remove all the now-deleted comments.

@Scimonster I assumed it was query-backed, yes. The flagged comments all had a common element.

Today, we’re excited to announce that online registration is now open for Beyond Coding, a free new summer program designed to equip emerging computer programmers in New York City with professional skills needed to help them succeed in their first job working with code. The program, slated to launch June 11, is part of our collaboration with New York City’s Tech Talent Pipeline initiative to support the growth of the city’s tech ecosystem. And we’re thrilled to be taking part, along with some other top-notch New York startups: Crest CC, Foursquare, Kickstarter, Tumblr, and Trello. …

"You can't give up your reputation because it is not wholly yours to cede." That just inspired a PTIJ post. :D — Scimonster 1 min ago
Let's see if @Scimonster remembers his PTIJ plans next year. :-)

@MonicaCellio Don't worry, i have a note on my iPad (that i keep meaning to transfer to EverNote!!) with questions waiting to be asked. I have quite a long list of non-PTIJ questions, actually...

@Scimonster Didn't we already agree that those comments don't need to be flagged? (after all, it does appear that you accepted that answer...)
Sort of.
@Scimonster That was pretty sneaky of you!! :P
...did you "identify yourself in a custom flag"? ;-)

@Shokhet I've actually been following @msh210's answer, which i just replaced as the accepted answer. It also seems i forgot to upvote it so i did that now too.

@Scimonster Fair enough
TZT!

@Shokhet No, but i've only been flagging comments from a while ago. And some on active users' posts from a week ago, because i know that they must have seen it.

@Scimonster there was also a flag where you outed yourself.

@MonicaCellio On your post, after you edited? I suppose i figured you'd guess who was flagging it. :)

7:17 PM
@Scimonster well there was that, but also: while comment flags are anonymous, flags on posts are not -- and timestamps are available on all of them. :-)

Mazal Tov to DanF (who is not pingable in chat) on 400 questions
and almost 400 answers
That puts him at 11th most answers and 5th most questions on the site!
(not a particularly well-designed query)

7:33 PM
@MonicaCellio Aha. Good to know. Not that i need to keep it secret when i flag a post.

@Scimonster so as not to mislead: while comment flags come in anonymously, if we really need to find out we can. You can't hide from us. :-)

We are investigating a network-wide issue now.
