@barbarabeeton haha -- yes I was being tongue in cheek to rile up Enrico. Definitely don't want to keep adding alphabets to Unicode!

@WillRobertson :)

@egreg Next up, sans serif fraktur!

6 hours later…
8:02 AM
I got this (but none of them are mine!)

@DavidCarlisle :-)

@DavidCarlisle No Bugs with longtable golden tag badge so far? ;-)

@DavidCarlisle Next up is hyphenation, plus perhaps Unicode math set up 'out of the box' where appropriate

@JosephWright was this negative enough?
if you have copied the binary then fmtutil-sys --all will remake the formats in texlive but note that luatex 0.8x is radically completely incompatible with all previous versions of luatex the current format macro files for latex and plain tex as found in texlive will not work nor will graphics hyperref etc. there are development versions of most of these things but you need to be prepared for a lot of manual adjustments at the present time. Hopefully it will all go smoothly for texlive 2016, but there is a reason luatex 0.8x is not in default distributions yet. — David Carlisle 7 hours ago

@DavidCarlisle ;-)
@DavidCarlisle Needs the .ini files, right?

@JosephWright yes, and the new cfg files (or luapdfaliases or ...) basically if you need to ask how to make the format you don't want to be installing 0.88 I think:(
\documentclass{report}
\usepackage{amsmath}

\begin{document}
%\tracingall

$10,98$
\end{document}
@JosephWright can you test ^^^ luatex?

8:53 AM
@DavidCarlisle Which LuaTeX? v0.80 or v0.88?

@JosephWright 88

@DavidCarlisle OK
! Missing number, treated as zero.
<to be read again>
"
l.9 $1
    0,98$

@JosephWright yes so it's not just me
<inserted text> \mathchar"4"
            00"000028
@JosephWright I think mathchar settings not right still....

@DavidCarlisle Hmm
@DavidCarlisle Engine issue :-)

@JosephWright I was wondering about that, was following tracing but got confused, do you have a smaller test case

9:00 AM
@DavidCarlisle No, I just swapped my binary from v0.88 back to v0.80, rebuilt formats and ran your demo

@JosephWright oh of course: Hans just broke amsmath!
@JosephWright amsmath adjusts the mathcodes by taking \the\mathcode and then adjusting the hex digits but now that reports in Umathcode format
@barbarabeeton ^^^

So something like
\showtokens\expandafter{\the\mathcode`\A }
\bye
shows the issue
@DavidCarlisle In the same general area, I've fixed that missing " in unicode-data but am minded to drop the split entirely and to add a new load-unicode-math-class.tex file (to do the bit I've now removed): thoughts?

This was reported for 0.87 but I thought it was supposed to be fixed in 88 but didnt check tug.org/pipermail/luatex/2015-December/005571.html
@JosephWright That would be good, yes

@DavidCarlisle This was reported = 'I told Hans this' ;-)
@DavidCarlisle OK, I'll do that as v1.3 (and we can skip releasing v1.2a)
@DavidCarlisle Check what the plan is and fix the macros if necessary?
@DavidCarlisle I do wonder who Hans sees as his users ...

@JosephWright I need to see if anything changed for 0.88 or whether he just forgot. Will do some tests later.
@JosephWright Hans.

9:13 AM
@DavidCarlisle :-)

1 hour later…
10:16 AM
@JosephWright @barbarabeeton so luatex 0.87 couldn't load amsmath at all, 0.88 has a change so amsmath loads but doesn't work, which is improvement of a sort, I suppose.
{\uccode`7=`c \uccode`8=`h \uccode`9=`\"
 \uppercase{\gdef\mathch@#1#2#3#4#5#6\mathch@{\gtest@false
  \ifx 7#1\ifx 8#2\ifx 9#5\gtest@true\xdef\meaning@{9#6}\fi\fi\fi}}}
\newcount\classnum@
\def\getmathch@#1.#2\getmathch@{\classnum@#1 \divide\classnum@4096
 \ifcase\number\classnum@\or\or\gdef\thedots@{\dotsb@}\or
 \gdef\thedots@{\dotsb@}\fi}
For example doesn't react too well if \meaning on a math char returns three hex numbers. (and other places...)

@DavidCarlisle :-)
@DavidCarlisle See unicode-data updates

@barbarabeeton whatever the final outcome of maintenance plans for amsmath this means that basically there will need to be an update to amsmath before texlive 2016 tests start next month, while in theory it would be possible if inconvenient to have a package that patches amsmath math people are not going to expect to have to load such a thing to make this works it gives an error in luatex .88:
\documentclass{report}
\usepackage{amsmath}
\begin{document}

\parbox{1cm}{}

\end{document}
@JosephWright ^^

@DavidCarlisle Eek

@JosephWright the luatex .87 release notes said no one should notice the internal change to \mathchar handling.....

@DavidCarlisle :-)
@DavidCarlisle To be fair, I was hoping the changes in Unicode math handling I came up with would also be transparent ...

10:30 AM
@JosephWright you and Hans both in bad books this morning then:-)

@DavidCarlisle Manual is now at v0.89 ...
@DavidCarlisle I think you suggested using MathClass.txt ...

2 hours ago, by David Carlisle
I got this (but none of them are mine!)
@JosephWright so it is (I'd actually got that open but hadn't noticed front page, I wonder if texlive svn is updated? I suppose I'd better check..)

@DavidCarlisle I'm grabbing the W32TeX version now ...
This is LuaTeX, Version beta-0.89.0 (TeX Live 2016/W32TeX/dev)
 system commands enabled.

@DavidCarlisle ^^^
I'll try to 2e and L3 test suites

@JosephWright I don't suppose my amsmath test file works does it

@DavidCarlisle See above!

10:36 AM
@JosephWright ah I didn't click the see full text spoiler:-)
make making now...

@DavidCarlisle I think they've changed the \discretionary business again :-(

@JosephWright oh good (make will take a while yet before I can try)

@DavidCarlisle I guess I'll have another round of 'see what can be normalised'

@JosephWright but that's a discretionary not there rather than a change in logging? or is that an artefact of the l3build normalisation
@JosephWright a 0.89 announcement and release notes of what's changed might be useful

yo'
@ChristianHupfer We still need another name then, or @Joseph will modhammer someone in <3

10:49 AM
@DavidCarlisle I'll have to check: LuaTeX logs things differently from pdfTeX in this area and keeping a track is hard!
@DavidCarlisle I have some other diffs too ...

@yo': SeanAllred (again :D), touhami, moewe for example

How about Steven B. Segletes?

@PauloCereda Good!
@PauloCereda: jfbu is also an option or LariFaRi

@ChristianHupfer indeed!

yo'
@ChristianHupfer moewe could be a good name, yes. I think S. B. Segletes has got an individual me, but I don't know why I think so, rather ask him :)

11:00 AM
@PauloCereda: Johannes_B has a joint membership of DANTE and TUG, as far as I know @Johannes_B?

yo'
reminds me of: I should renew my membership :)

@yo' I already renewed mine. @JosephWright was about to release Scotland Yard on my feathers.

yo'
@PauloCereda you've got a joint membership?

@yo' Yes! <3

@yo' didn't you know he was British?

yo'
11:02 AM
@PauloCereda ah ok. I have to confess, I didn't join CSTUG

@DavidCarlisle ooh

@PauloCereda Well, what do we see if we look out of the yard? ;-)

@ChristianHupfer I am inspector Thereisamanbehindyou.
:D

@PauloCereda I wait for Constable Pan-AM :-P

@ChristianHupfer Tiger!

11:05 AM
@PauloCereda Where!???

@ChristianHupfer <3

@PauloCereda @yo': Other names: Bernard or Torbjorn, Andrew Swann

@JosephWright oh for crying out loud:
\show\coprod

@DavidCarlisle ^^^

@JosephWright any actual problems or just usual luatex reporting things

@DavidCarlisle \scantokens seems to be misbehaving

@JosephWright re my mail to luatex list, if it's going to change I think I'll just make the tests look for U in the meaning string (that change is really needed even for xetex, for characters that have been re-defined using the U forms) otherwise it's more of a mess either you need to look ahead to see if there are three " or do a test on the luatex version and have conditional code...

@DavidCarlisle I think they are dropping anything past the first line in \scantoken: the test is one of Bruno's and involves ^^M

@JosephWright your turn to mail luatex list:-)

11:47 AM
@DavidCarlisle Indeed: let me get the analysis fully sorted

@JosephWright running 2e test suite here

@DavidCarlisle Other diffs are I think either mathchar-related or places that they'd brought LuaTeX more in to line with pdfTeX logging (so a good thing)
@DavidCarlisle Ah, I see: they've fixed an issue with \scantokens so now it does do the same as pdfTeX, but we've got a test file that expects them to be different

@JosephWright don't they understand tex process, once a bug is out it's a feature and you should keep it:-)

@DavidCarlisle Other than the mathcode stuff it all looks fine, though we will have to make a decision as to when to update the test files (I'd suggest TL'16 for L3 to avoid breaking the CI, perhaps 'now' for the L2e ones)
@DavidCarlisle Two diffs so far for me with the 2e suite, both changes in logging only

@JosephWright now for 2e would be OK I think because I think that everyone who runs it is either you or me or just needs windows and could use the w32tex one you use.

11:58 AM
@DavidCarlisle Exactly

@JosephWright but this seems to be a pre-release 0.89 so possibly we should wait until next week and then check in 0.89 results.

@DavidCarlisle Indeed
@DavidCarlisle A bit of a list of diffs

12:33 PM
@PauloCereda: Just installed the lucida fonts. Using updmap-sys --enable MixedMap=lucida.map is the key, but Map lucida.map does not really enable it

@ChristianHupfer Hold the phone. :)
which updmap-sys
$ sudo /opt/texbin/updmap-sys --enable Map lucida.map
This works for me. :)

@PauloCereda Strange. That did nothing for me. I've installed in /textlive/texmf-local

@ChristianHupfer Me too. :) Could you echo $PATH for me?

$PATH? Why $PATH? Well, anyway, it's working

@ChristianHupfer Sorry, I was trying to help you.

12:46 PM
@PauloCereda I appreciate that of course, but I don't understand why $PATH is important. I just had to switch Map lucida.map (as recommended in the description by TUG) to MixedMap=lucida.map. After that it worked. Perhaps because I have all both font types?
@PauloCereda: Font installation with TeX -- the source of eternal joy ;-)

@ChristianHupfer I just wanted to make sure you were running the correct executable which could be updating wrong locations.

@PauloCereda Ah, ok: which updmap-sys: /usr/local/bin/updmap-sys -- it's a symlink, actually, but the only executable with this name
@PauloCereda: <3

@ChristianHupfer which -a updmap-sys

@PauloCereda Same output. $PATH has /usr/local/bin and the usual suspects (Actually I had used which -a ... but shortened for lazyness when commenting)

1:03 PM
Hello

@MarkoLustro Hello

@UlrikeFischer Have you seen this thread? tex.stackexchange.com/q/291024/4736 -- Interesting, but far above my pay level.

I'm looking example for change kerning in lua
simple put text into tex correct kerning in lua and produce dvi/pdf

@JosephWright I was away from my desk but yes just saw that, including a couple of etex ones

@DavidCarlisle: writing one of the most important chapters of my thesis now!
\chapter{Macros}
\label{chap:macros}

1:12 PM
@PauloCereda such lack of self reference:(
\def\z{Macros}\chapter{\z}
would be so much better.

@DavidCarlisle -- please let frank know. (one possibility might be to enhance mathtools, planning later to merge mathtools into amsmath. i've pretty much been recommending that, but ...) not a chance of a snowball in a blast furnace that anything will happen at ams in that time frame.

@barbarabeeton you (and Frank) have email, we could fix it in mathtools but if you don't fix amsmath you will get a deluge of email to ams tech support when texlive 2016 comes out.
@barbarabeeton actually I'll reply to that by mail, give me a sec....:-)

@yo' -- hmmm. why not? zpravodaj is a very nice journal.

@DavidCarlisle :)

yo'
@barbarabeeton maybe it is. Frankly, I didn't see a point in joining CSTUG. I think this organization was important back when TeX localization was at the very beginning. Now, the objectives of it are much less clear. Whatever interesting gets to the zpravodaj could be submitted to TB.

1:23 PM
@yo' -- but does everyone who reads zpravodaj read english completely comfortably?

@PauloCereda What are Macros? ;-)

@ChristianHupfer Baby don't expand me, don't expand me, no more...

yo'
@barbarabeeton that's a good question, I don't know, probably not. As I see, I don't see an objective; I don't say it does not exist.

@PauloCereda \relax? Expand the \unexpanded -- the new Chat event :-P

@DavidCarlisle -- at home today -- snow. so i'm working on laptop, and i haven't learned how to make more than one window active at a time, so i'm at a big disadvantage. okay, logging in to ams to read mail.

1:27 PM
@ChristianHupfer The \unexpanded is a film title of the Stallone bloke, isn't it? :)

@PauloCereda I don't know

@barbarabeeton Oh my, I hope you are safe (and people from your neighbourhood as well).

@barbarabeeton note how @PauloCereda considers the prospect of sub zero temperatures and frozen water inherently dangerous:-)

@PauloCereda -- not to worry. safer at home than out driving. (people in rhode island, at the first snowflake, forget how to drive.) anyhow, "snow day" is official, so no problem being "off the clock".

@PauloCereda: By the way: Snow ;-)

1:32 PM
@ChristianHupfer oh no!

@DavidCarlisle -- yes. i remember the tug meeting in marrakech, where the locals were in their winter coats, and those of us from colder climes were delighting in the lovely warm weather.
@PauloCereda -- well, @ChristianHupfer has got more than we do. we're expecting 4-6in (10-15cm) by the time it decides to stop. and prediction is that it will all melt away tomorrow.

@DavidCarlisle That's it, I will organize the TUG conference in the northeast region of Brazil, probably in Ceará. Let us see you all melting with 45C. :)
@barbarabeeton oh my! I've never seen snow live.

@PauloCereda do they have snow there?

@DavidCarlisle a lot! :)
And by snow, I mean sand. :)
@David: fine, let us move the conference to Rio de Janeiro. :)

@barbarabeeton: Actually we had about 15in, two weeks ago. The images were taken at that time

1:36 PM
@PauloCereda if they cancel the Olympics there are probably some venues we could get cheaply

@PauloCereda: You could see the shadow of the bloke that took the picture :D

yo'
@barbarabeeton does this cause local floods?

@PauloCereda I'll send you a parcel with Black Forest snow ;-)

@KeksDose If there is an easy solution for pdflatex depends a lot of what the user mean by "FontPro clearly installed all condensed variants" and you regarding "the condensed fonts are mapped there" If only the declarations in the fd-files are missing it wouldn't be a problem.

@DavidCarlisle quite possible. :)
@ChristianHupfer :)
@ChristianHupfer ooh

1:49 PM
Now back to improve xassoccnt ;-)

@KeksDose Here an example how you can add a c-series to an existing setup. The code can naturally go into the fd-file. But it only works if all the other needed files (tfm, pfb, vf etc) exists.
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{lmodern}
\normalfont %to load the fd-file

\DeclareFontShape{T1}{lmr}{c}{n}
     {<-> ec-lmtt10}{} %lmtt for demonstration
\begin{document}
abc \fontseries{c}\selectfont abc
\end{document}

2:01 PM
@yo' -- not usually, not in providence, unless there is a lot of snow. streets get big puddles though, and one can never tell what one might be hiding. but things can be different in more mountainous areas, especially if the weather warms very quickly.

yo'
@barbarabeeton ok. Well, I hope you're safe!

The MyriadPro.map contains lines like
@UlrikeFischer Well, again, the MyriadPro.map contains lines like MyriadPro-Cond-extra-u--base MyriadPro-Cond "AutoEnc_2e7rx5rr2fpwoe7li3fnna727c ReEncodeFont" <[a_2e7rx5.enc <MyriadPro-Cond.pfb

@KeksDose Well "extra-u" doesn't sound T1-encoded so probably one will have to check the virtual fonts. But you can at least try out what happens if you replace ec-lmtt10 with MyriadPro-Cond-extra-u--base in my example. (Check umlauts etc).

2:17 PM
:27365079 File looks like this: \documentclass{article}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{MyriadPro}
\normalfont %to load the fd-file

\DeclareFontShape{T1}{MyriadPro}{c}{n}
     {<-> MyriadPro-Cond-extra-u--base}{} %

MyriadPro is a sansserif font, so you should use \sffamily to load the fd-file.

2:37 PM
@barbarabeeton you've got mail

@UlrikeFischer Thank you, much better. File looks like this:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{MyriadPro, blindtext}

@KeksDose no idea what it is supposed to be but you declared condensed in family MyriadPro-TLF but it is telling you there is no condensed in family MyriadPro-OsF which is different

2:55 PM
@DavidCarlisle Am I excluded :-(

@JosephWright -- apologies. if you want to join the party, say so, and i'll be happy to forward what's already gone around.

@JosephWright me too.

@barbarabeeton Oh, don't worry: I can't imagine it's that exciting
@PauloCereda Almost certainly not

@PauloCereda -- believe me, you really don't want to get embroiled in this. it wouldn't be good for your feathers.

@barbarabeeton ooh. :)

3:04 PM
@DavidCarlisle Well, party! Thanks to you and @UlrikeFischer the solution is this:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{MyriadPro, blindtext}

@barbarabeeton :-)

Even umlaute (I decline to write »umlauts«) work! This is funny, such a little bit of code!

@JosephWright you've got mail

@DavidCarlisle In other news, CTAN should now be happy with our update set up for graphics/tools`cyrillic`
@DavidCarlisle Ah, thanks for the mail
@DavidCarlisle I feel that we can get lots of rep that way!

I never get mail from @david
@DavidCarlisle :-(

3:10 PM
@Kaveh1000 You do get them from me :-) (Not as many as our treasurer gets, mind)

:-)

@Kaveh1000 Speaking of which, we probably need to send you some post (bank forms)

should have kept my trap shut
I have just started with R. anyone experienced with R and TeX/Latex?

@Kaveh1000 two versions of me just each sent a message to different versions of you:-)

My life is complete. Got mail from @DavidCarlisle

3:12 PM
@Kaveh1000 A very small amount :-)

looks great. just like TeX. CTAN = CRAN etc.

@Kaveh1000 we had an R based product for a while but not used R for some years now.

@Kaveh1000 Yes, CRAN is after all ultimately based on CTAN :-)

I needed to do some data analysis. really excited about it

@Kaveh1000 Sounds good

3:13 PM
@Kaveh1000 yes they copied CPAN which copied CTAN

ok
wondering why there is not

r.stackexchange.com

like

tex.stackexchange.com
need to put r tag to see relevant items

@Kaveh1000 it requires someone to ask and set up a beta but I think for programming languages they are a bit afraid of fragmenting stackoverflow too much
@Kaveh1000 ah you only got one of the two messages I sent (no need to go in to details:-)

yes, some will bounce ;-)

@Kaveh1000 so now I can say I've been regularly sending you mail for months but it's not my fault that you didn't get them. (check with @egreg on the accuracy of my statements here)

3:18 PM
yes, and I believe you @DavidCarlisle

@Kaveh1000 At stats.stackexchange.com there are more than 12000 questions in the tag

thanks @egreg :-) so what is diff between putting tag in stackexchange.com and stats.... ?
i.e. r tag in each one

@Kaveh1000 Well, here it's about interaction between R and TeX, which is probably off topic there.

Nothing in stats.stackexchange.com says it is to do with tex...
Sorry, probably confusing question. ignore. ;-)

@ChristianHupfer Yes, i have :-)

3:46 PM
@Kaveh1000 Knitr is likely best handled here on maybe on StackOverflow

Guys, how do I typeset the crossed l?
^^ ell
Oh \l

@egreg :)

@PauloCereda On my keyboard it's “Alt-l l

@egreg You are sophisticated. :)

@PauloCereda It's very important knowing how to type Włochy

@egreg Who? :)

@PauloCereda Don't you know the meaning of Włochy?

@egreg WOW

@PauloCereda beware, those strokes are infectious øłĐđĦħŁŦŧƀƗƛƵƻǤǥȺȼ

4:48 PM
@PauloCereda ⱣȺɄŁƟ ȻɆɌɆĐȺ

@egreg OMG

@PauloCereda PAULO CEREDA
@PauloCereda mine looks neater

@DavidCarlisle ooh
@David: no Fraktur? :)

5:20 PM
@PauloCereda 𝔓𝔞𝔲𝔩𝔬 ℭ𝔢𝔯𝔢𝔡𝔞 (sorry, sans serif slanted Fraktur is not yet in Unicode)

@egreg ooh <3

just spectacular (!) Actually, that is what I was trying to implement. Therefore you broke the "tie" between Ulrike and Christian with this complete solution. Wow! The other solutions are more didactical, easy to understand but yours is top. Thanks for taking so much time. :) — loved.by.Jesus 26 secs ago

@egreg Loved by Jesus. :)

5:42 PM
@PauloCereda Polish keyboard? Right AltGR + letter: ąęłżó -- Łódż

@Joseph øh my Gød, iŧ wørĸß! o.O
@DavidCarlisle: Why aren't you that helpful? ^^ :)
@Joseph In other news, glad to see you here, pal. :)

Carnival and TeX and Polish keyboards. Must be boring.
I mean, for me! :)
Hardest language on Earth and I had to read the mwcls docs.

@Joseph and ABNT for me. :)

@Pau
ops
kkkk
@PauloCereda: I'd rather read this: mirrors.nic.cz/tex-archive/info/czech/latex-pro-pragmatiky/… than ABNT manuals any time!

@Joseph LOL

5:55 PM
@PauloCereda "Sázeno XeLaTeXem písmy Comenia Serif Pro a Vida Mono 32 Pro". And lo and behold!, a thesis about Latex: is.muni.cz/th/325338/fi_m/thesis.pdf

@Joseph Wow!

@PauloCereda I don't need system specific keyboard tricks. I have a proper text editor

@DavidCarlisle Oh by way, Fedora had an emacs update. Instead of Programs listing emacs as, well, emacs, it listed as Powerful Editor. :)

6:45 PM
Guys, what's a cute lettrine font for 8-bit engines? :)

@PauloCereda No lettrine, please!

@egreg I was just having fun, no worries. :)

@PauloCereda texdoc yinit

@egreg ooh fancy
@egreg: I think the chapter about macros could have a lettrine. :P

yo'
7:36 PM
good evening

@yo' Hi!
Quack!

yo'
@PauloCereda quack back
but in a sad voice: I got a message today that I didn't get a postdoc :(

Oh no! I am sorry. :(

yo'
@PauloCereda It's probably not so much a big deal; I wasn't really sure I want to accept it
(I mean, if I got it, I would have accepted it no doubt, but I'm not really frustrated I didn't get it)

@yo' do you have a plan b?

yo'
7:49 PM
@DavidCarlisle well, I've got a tenure in Prague; teaching lots of math to chemistry students

8:04 PM
@yo' Oh OK so you won't starve then:-) You'll no doubt find lots of siunitx bugs to report to @JosephWright

@DavidCarlisle don't you mean features

@StrongBad nah my package have features, other peoples' have bugs.

1 hour later…
yo'
9:21 PM
@DavidCarlisle no. However, I'm not quite sure I'll keep the job for a long time...

Hello
how I can use lato font (in fedora)
lato have many files ttf but all namet this same "Lato"

@MarkoLustro there seems to be a package set up to do that ctan.org/pkg/lato?lang=en
@MarkoLustro pdflatex, xelatex or lualatex?

yes, latex and lualatex
I found only in fedora not in texlive ;-)

@MarkoLustro well answers will be different (xelatex will want opentype with fontspec package and pdftex will want type 1) I haven't used the font myself but there are several answers on site with examples tex.stackexchange.com/search?q=lato

@DavidCarlisle Priv: is possible to add my font to texlive?
My font is very complicated to typing

9:36 PM
@MarkoLustro xelatex is set up to use any font the system knows about so in that case you shouldn't need to do anything

xelatex can You show me example?

@JosephWright -- in preparation for "answer the unanswered", i've been reviewing questions in categories i know something about. to my distress, many (too many) questions that don't belong there are tagged [align]. so i'm changing "improper" tags to [horizontal alignment] or [vertical alignment] as appropriate. there are a lot of them, and i'll try to limit how many i do at once, but it'll take a long time.

meybe TeX is complicated?

@MarkoLustro ^^^ and vvv
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{fontspec}
\setmainfont{Lato-Reg.ttf}
\begin{document}
hello
\end{document}
@barbarabeeton concentrate on the ones :-)

@DavidCarlisle Can You help me to write style for font?
t1 is nexesary?

9:45 PM
@MarkoLustro no:-) get as far as you can then ask a question on site, chat does not really work for code
@MarkoLustro T1 encoding? that's wrong in xetex, probably good in pdftex (depending what language you are writing in)

Can I write to You mail?

@MarkoLustro no:-) Or at least I'd rather you didn't that's the whole point of Q&A sites that people can ask questions and anyone who has time can answer, I sometimes feel like answering but I can not commit to individual user support for every (or any) latex user (there are thousands of them:-)

;)
ok, Look this. This font is interesting to You? texrg.herokuapp.com
last tab is to try
all leter is dependencing of other chars in word
How create style to use it? in lua?

@MarkoLustro or rather this translate.google.co.uk/…

translate ok.

9:56 PM
@MarkoLustro but what's the tex question? If you have an opentype font for that alphabet xelatex should probably be able to use it via fontspec? but you asked about lato?

@DavidCarlisle -- well, if i knew anything about luatex, i would ...

forget lato

@MarkoLustro Ok, done:-)

texrg is complicated
please try some word

@MarkoLustro texrg?

9:57 PM

@MarkoLustro I typed hello and got the above, then... ?

this same char is writen in different glyph
yes ll is different glyph ;)
this is a trouble
this is not ligatures
