Going through tags, I noticed there are some tags that don't make much sense.
I think we should list them here so that we can avoid using them and they'll be automatically deleted. I'll post a community wiki answer and everyone can edit it to add and remove tags.
just in case anyone cares - celle celalahu is the turkish transliteration for jalla jalaluhu, which roughly translates to "great is His glory" or something like that
yeah i don't like the wikipedia copying for the tag entries
the question just assumed that the whole veil thing is a unanimous prohibition among all muslims everywhere. and didn't even bother to specify it, presumably because it's "obvious."
reading the question, i could come up with three possible "reasons" off the top of my head that a Muslim woman would need special dispensation to do sign language.
so the question, as stated, was not really answerable. it was vague, but not really because the questioner just didn't know what sect to ask about.
even the "what is a beard" question could technically have different answers, depending on if the questioner is male or female.

Signed languages depend not just on movements of the hands, but also on subtle facial cues. Direction of eye gaze, puffed cheeks, and mouth movements are all essential elements of a signed language. Given that, wearing a full facial veil (as is the practice of many Muslim women) can significantly...

which brings the scope down to a particular interpretation of the religion, which is definitely on-topic.
"For those Muslims who consider the veil to be obligatory, are there any special provisions which would allow deaf Muslim women to communicate effectively via sign language?"
There is a large contrast in the way the Kuffar media have reacted to the removal of the shrines in Timbuktu and news orginsations in the Muslim world. What does the Quran say about the shrines in the city, and are our brothers right to remove them?

Four days after ashes999 posted his plea for tolerance, this is just getting worse: we are seeing intolerant and outright rude and incendiary com...
I have noticed a trend in the posts on this site, where a question is asked under the (apparently) implicit assumption that all Muslims follow a single unified doctrine called "Islam."
In a lot of cases, this would just result in a slough of answers from various schools, which may or may not be ...

As new users are coming in we'll be seeing unclear questions or answers with mere opinion and no references. It would be very helpful if we can add two banners on the left side with the text
