@Jacobm001 Hmm -- I think they both allow you to gasp arbitrarily attach members to an object (saving the hassle of minor subclassing/composing) but in addition perl won't tell you there's anything wrong with referring to a non-existent member because of a typo. It's just considered undef. Bury that in an obscure, untested path in a few dozen classes spread over thousands of lines and voila the stealer of souls.
So now anybody can attach anything to anything, and refer to anything as belonging to anything even if it's completely illusory. Nik Wallenda is apparently a perlhead.

@goldilocks Javascript gives you the same undefined behavior.

@Jacobm001 Fortunately I've never had the honor of writing any js that amounted to more that a few hundred lines. Which would be a bit like getting lost in someone's backyard. Except node, I guess I wrote a bunch of node stuff at one point.
