According to the standards in the area you work, the other system may be more practical because otherwise you build everything out of spec and thus the entire project falls flat.

Engineering in an SI-using place would naturally have the clearest benefit of being able to stick with that. But if you don't have that luxury, no amount of stubbornness is going to make your life any easier.

well in eve you don't need mouse and keyboard for movement. Simply select your overview, find the object in space you wish to move twards, right click the item in the overview, select "Approach" and off you go.

Unless of course you want to orbit, then select the guy right click on the orbit button in the active selection box, select "set default orbit", enter the distance in the text box, click OK, then click orbit

@ArdaXi you actually have a lot of control, but like most things in EvE it is not intuitively obvious...
