My brother downloaded and bought Minecraft on our xbox one, on his xbox account. When I go into my account, it says I need to buy it. But we are using the same xbox so shouldn't it automatically let me onto it ? Please help !!

I'm rendering a video and playing WoW at same time and fps keeps going below 60, as low as 45... It literally hurts my eyes :/

(it's not that it drops to 45 fps that hurts my eyes, it's that the frame times are inconsistent leading to 45 fps avg, while in reality some frames are taking much longer than others)

Q: How do I skip the Opening Intro Videos without clicking?

When you start Rocket League, there are 2 annoying videos that start every time you launch the game, you can skip them by clicking the mouse button, but I'd like to skip them all together. Is it Possible? Is it also possible to automatically enter the "Press any button to start" Screen as well?

Q: Why do I still have a Yellow Attention Logo?

When you enter the main Rocket League Window. You will notice I have a Yellow Exclamation Mark under Garage Menu Link. But when you enter the Garage Menu, Nothing is there for me to highlight or check??? Am I going crazy? or is this a bug of some kind?

the slow refresh rate is a lot more noticeable when you're turning the camera and can see far ahead in the distance

For me it's more about monitor quality. Ghosting is super noticeable to me and it drives me nuts

Tearing also drives me crazy so I have to play games with vsync even though it's not the best (although hopefully new sync tech will overcome this)

tearing is bad if it's noticeable, but most games don't have an issue with it

and if I can run at 100+ fps, vsync isn't really needed, because difference between frames isn't big enough to make tearing much of an issue

I've had tons of tearing in games where I don't enable vsync

my cat decided I've had enough of Bridge and lied over my arms... typing is difficult now...

I usually play games without vsync unless there's really bad tearing, which isn't often

although I have been using vsync more often these days, because it allows for more consistent fps

It probably just bothers me more and as a result I have a lower threshold for "bad tearing"

I think vsync is more important with a powerful PC than it is with a weak/mid range PC

I wish I had a 100+ Hz 21:9 34" IPS monitor

@twobugs once you get used to it, it's hard to go back, so perhaps it's best to stay away from it until you and the market are ready

I used my laptop last night and the 16:9 screen looks like 4:3 to me

@Yuuki I don't know what that is except Not Overwatch so don't get it.

I'm also reading about AMOLED monitors right now and it seems that they suffer from terrible burn-in issues, which is extra bad for PC monitors (taskbar always at same spot and long hours clocked being on)

Kinda. Apparently you explore the world to find various kinds of slimes and breed them for rarer slimes.

I went with a Corsair VOID headset. Seems nice enough for $150

it's really uncomfortable, nd only bought it since I needed it for an interview a while back

IT has trouble with web based Discord, which sucks, but it fits my head quite well and the sound quality is good

App Discord is fine though

unless you go for something ridiculous liek 150$ @twobugs headset

in which case modmic + decent pair of headphones is gonna be cheaper

so you end up buying an expensive headset just for the mic, even though the headphone bit would be just fine on a cheaper model

but shit mics is the main reason folks seem to shoot down gaming headset

A lot of people ended up having deeper voices than I expected

something with a usb connector would be the best, because 3.5mm connectors rely on the quality of your sound card

if you have a shitty integrated sound card, your mic might pick up a lot of static if it's 3.5mm

There's two big swords, Great Swords (slow and charged based) and Longsword (everyone hates you if you pick this)

They're both quite fun

There's also the Switch Axe's Sword mode.

Greatsword is so satisfying to land a full charge with

I like Longsword a lot even if it is cool to hate

The combo charge mechanic is really fun at red power

Also it has good reach and is quick enough to hit some tricky monster parts

Although, if you know you're playing a version where no guesses are required, sometimes you can determine that certain spots have mines or not based on that rule rather than based on the numbers around it.

When I upgraded to 10 it removed Minesweeper

people always remove bunch of apps that don't even take 1mb of space on a fresh install

one less app to remove is better

I don't think removing apps that I had used before upgrading is defensible

Basically you WASD around a spelunky-kinda-looking minesweeper board

and then you break down the blocks based on the numbers by walking into them

and some blocks have treasure

and some blocks replenish your health bar

and when you clear a level you go deeper after the ad break

Anyway, I have to say I don't see a tactics game being better than Disgaea 5.

and there are weekly leaderboards, XP bars, daily play bonuses

It is everything I ever wanted from this genre of games.

and of course cheevos that feeds into Xbox live

I wonder if I'm making a mistake by neglecting all the story characters and just using generic characters.

Maybe I should check out Disgaea games again sometime

But typically story characters are just better versions of generic classes

Here it seems like the story characters just have alternate evilities from the generic classes.

I don't fully understand how stat growth works, though.

Some character just have way more attack than others and I'm not entirely sure why.

So in older games there were a few components to stats

2) Equipment stats. You get them from equipment.

but I can understand the urge to disbelieve it

Proficiencies are determined by class and it's basically the % of equipment stats you get

It can go beyond 100

Generics, at lower class tiers, have worse proficiencies than story people

Oh, so as my weapon mastery goes up, that increases the stats from that class of weapons by that %?

Weapon skills levels influence damage (maybe?) but definitely unlock the special attacks
