I saw a golden sparkle at the bottom of the screen in Jetpack Joyride, I tried to collect it but hit a zapper so I didn't ever find out what it was. Any ideas?

Recently I've been playing SNES F-Zero on my free time.
After many pain and practice, I'm able to get the first place on Master class with Capt. Falcon on all the tracks, except for Death Wind 1.
With some luck, the most I've been able to get is the second place, but that's it.
