At the final stage Too Many Chefs, the Patissier has to move the blowtorch over the creme brulee.
I can not for the life of me figure out how to complete this.
:34914252 public universities tend to be cheaper than private ones, and you can get scholarships that reduce what you personally have to pay, but none of them are "free" as in "the government pays everything out of it's budget"
@Yuuki He's a regular at Root Access (SU semi-official chatroom), and never did anything like that there. I suspect it's either a cat or a baby with his phone / PC
Coming soon: Trump to get credit for calling the National Christmas Tree the National Christmas Tree, even though it has always been the National Christmas Tree, and has never been a holiday tree of any sort
and even though the entire concept of a Christmas tree is extremely pagan
I guess Orwell was wrong in that 1984 would be government-imposed totalitarian ministry of truth stuff but in reality it's self-imposed reality bubble stuff.
2
@Memor-X But hey, I guess this is one way to make Reality Marbles.
@GodEmperorDune Well, I mean 1984 still has some truth in it. The government is probably going to seep in and take control from where the people willingly give in to ignorance.

> For too long, we’ve been held back by burdensome regulations on our energy industry. President Trump is committed to eliminating harmful and unnecessary policies such as the Climate Action Plan and the Waters of the U.S. rule. Lifting these restrictions will greatly help American workers, increasing wages by more than $30 billion over the next 7 years.
> Lastly, our need for energy must go hand-in-hand with responsible stewardship of the environment. Protecting clean air and clean water, conserving our natural habitats, and preserving our natural reserves and resources will remain a high priority. President Trump will refocus the EPA on its essential mission of protecting our air and water.
> FWIW: Trump’s inaugural remarks, as prepared for delivery, clock in at north of an 8th grade reading level, significantly higher than his campaign speeches.
Can we get some golf claps for how good a job he did on that particular aspect of the thing
> This strategy starts by withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership and making certain that any new trade deals are in the interests of American workers. President Trump is committed to renegotiating NAFTA. If our partners refuse a renegotiation that gives American workers a fair deal, then the President will give notice of the United States’ intent to withdraw from NAFTA.
If our air and water becomes suffused with coal dust, we'll have to evolve to survive. Glorious President Trump is only using SCIENCE to serve our best interests.
Climate change is,in all honesty, that thing that truly and honestly terrifies me about the new president. It's the one thing that you can't just "undo" in 4 years.
@GnomeSlice my issue is that if people have grievances with how policing is done, the solution should be to work with the community to address those grievances, not just shut the debate down and declare all critics as "anti-police"
@GnomeSlice The saying is "one bad apple spoils the bunch". Not "there's one bad apple, sure, but you guys shouldn't be wary of all the whole bunch, you're just being anti-police".
It's not a problem that all police officers corrupt, it's that the police force as an organization has a lot of problems which they (seemingly) absolutely refuse to deal with.
I mean, I get that there's a lot of pressure on law enforcement. Perhaps excessively so. But at the same time, the sentiment that law enforcement should not be treated like "just average joes doing their jobs, they'll make mistakes every now and then" has its place as well.
and that all comes back to training too. Police training should focus on deescalating a situation, but in the USA it seems like lethal force it used way too quickly.
the system that refuses to A) track the data to see if there is a systemic problem B) deal with systemic problems as they arise are the issue, as I see it
@GodEmperorDune But never admitting that you made a wrong call and then trying to frame the situation with you as the victim shouldn't be... I don't know what's the word here.
@GodEmperorDune No I mean as in if they're training them to pull their gun first, ask questions later, that's pretty fucked. Yes some situations call for that, but not all.
@Wipqozn i haven't personally studied the data, but i've heard interviews with experts that say a lot of it is going to military surplus things, like the battering ram vehicles
Like when you go to the voting party, with two large parties, one of your choices shouldn't be "Should I go with the anti-science party? should I go with the party that things civil rights matter?"
just because you lean right doesn't mean you think science isn't real, and just because you lean left doesn't mean you think same sex marraige should be allowed
@JasonBerkan It's going exactly the way I expected it to go. Honestly NDP is the only party I expected to actually make a strong push for electoral change, but I also knew they wouldn't win.
well green probably would too, but also, not ever going to win
basically the parties that aren't one of the big two would totally changeit to a different system whichI would like and would also, you know, benefit them
@JasonBerkan and yet the "no chance" is also why I know they'd actually change the system. After all, they're the ones that benefit the most from a change.
@Frank i don't know if that is a causal link or it's more that defense contractors are like "we have all these war goodies that the military doesn't need any more of because wars are ending, what do?"
So apparently trump's whitehouse page removed the existing lgbt page. Sigh. HRC had a whole section https://www.hillaryclinton.com/issues/lgbt-equality/
Trump's white house page also removed EVERY mention of climate change... HRC also had a section for that https://www.hillaryclinton.com/issues/climate/
I kinda wish there was a prone stance that increased accuracy. And also let snipers shoot after moving but came with a massively reduced movement range.
I wanted to play Minecraft with my husband earlier, but he kept getting an Unable to connect to world error. I have Minecraft Windows 10 edition and he has Pocket edition. We used to play together a lot, and have never gotten this error before. I even went to the old world we used to play in but ...
When i start my custom Minecraft server (with start.command), I always get an error message: no rcon password set, rcon disabled. Is there any way I could remove or fix this error?
