Playing as D.Va, my mech got destroyed with no progress towards getting a new one. Since D.Va outside the mech has low health, no abilities, and a weak pistol attack, is it even worth trying to fight on foot? Is it ever better to just kill myself to get a new mech and, if so, when?

I had a game yesterday wher eI was being chased by winston, and I had two allies right next to me. They just ran away and let me die.

The enemy D.Va did that shift + ult combo, and I walled to stop it dead in its tracks uselessly up on some ledge. It blew up, killed the wall, and didn't touch the point.

As a mercy, if a Winston is focusing you down, you have roughly 3 seconds to get out.

@Waterseas I've killed plenty of Mercys as Winston. In fact, I feel like his low DPS actually helps him in this regard because people just ignore him.

@Fluttershy was in a fantastic spot in hollywood on the cowboy section.

@Yuuki It's true, however, point there is that it's less that Winston is good against Mercy as much as it is that people are bad at reacting to a Winston

You are overestimating both the mobility of mercy, and underestimating the value of forcing a single target healer to move back

My bad, I mean "pro leagues". Still feels awkward saying that for a game that's been out for a few weeks.

Winston is going to be picky about when he jumps you, it's very easy for him to catch you at a bad moment

Winston's jump doesn't have that long of a CD either. Sure, you have to wait 3s or so to follow a Mercy that's on top of her game, but you don't need line-of-sight and Mercy only has out-of-combat health regen.

I actually wonder if that's in any way different from shield

Q: Is Mercy's out-of-combat regen different from shield?

Mercy regenerates health, but only when she has been out-of-combat for a couple of seconds. The only other concept of regenerating health in the game is shield, which also seems to regenerate out-of-combat. Is Mercy's regen any different from shield? Or does Mercy practically just have 200 points...
