@twobugs It's just the general Oddworld aesthetics, being the looks of the enemies and the Abes and the depressing factory appearances. SW might have less of that, but it's not part of the bundle

Q: minecraft: my villagers leave my village

I was building a village (mcpe, creatif, peacefull) I spawned 2 villagers, after a while, there where 50 houses andere a lot of villagers, but they went further and further away from the village, is there a way to prevent it (except building a wal)?

@twobugs as I said yesterday this would make a lot of sense, we might be getting to the point where an SSD wouldn't be so much more outrageously expensive than a bluray but it would give people a much better time

@AshleyNunn whargarbl. I suppose you followed the manual uninstall instructions?

@AshleyNunn If you're trying to use Windows 10, if it's an upgrade from 8.1 or 7 that hasn't had a full reset yet, there could definitely be issues left from that

That's why many sites recommend you do a PC reset without saving anything after upgrading to 10

Stranger's Wrath had a different feel for me

It's not as gritty and dark as some of the other Oddworld games

It's pretty dark

It just takes place mostly more out in the country

Part of me is tempted to move to win10 but I don't feel like I know what I am doing

@AshleyNunn I'm of 2 minds here. One part of me is saying to first try installing 7 again and try if that works, but the other half is screaming to just upgrade to 10 and then reinstall in 10 if that doesn't work

I mean, once you run on Windows 10, resetting your system becomes much easier than if you're running 7

it's literally 3 clicks and then run through the setup again

well, maybe more than 3 clicks, but it's definitely easier than reinstalling Windows 7

I'm actually tempted to do it again tomorrow morning

just to see if it fixed my Bluetooth issues

although that's probably trying to kill a fly with a bazooka

and I'm not sure whether it'll work

I'm not opposed to moving to win10, it's more time (and me being paranoid because the computer shop that shares this building keeps regaling me with win10 horror stories)

I've found that most people who have issues with W10 are usually down to "didn't full reset after the upgrade so had tons of old files around", "had old or unusual peripherals or software that don't have Windows 10 compatibility (yet)" and "has mucked around in an attempt to disable all telemetry and broke things".

@AshleyNunn i only have a problem with it starting up and updating by itself, other than that, its fine

@Dragonrage It hasn't done even that with me yet, although I usually install updates as soon as they're available so they don't bother me afterwards

i tend to only turn it on at nights when i play, and id rather not restart then

@Dragonrage I'm not sure if Windows still does Patch Tuesdays, but I've found that Windows usually releases the "have to reboot" patches the second Tuesday of the month

So that's when I usually take the time to install those and reboot on my terms

i wish they did updates like they did on windows 7

it starts it when you shut down, and finishes when you reboot next

@Yuuki That wasn't a W10 windows update, that was a full-blown upgrade. those work differently and are forced upon users much more strongly than Windows update, which you can configure the time you want to reboot the PC

the alternative that comes to mind is looking at what file handles are being loaded as the crash happens, and then it might very well be that those things are about the thing that happened right before the crash and is not actually the crash itself

I don't know if there's a Windows equivalent of strace. I guess procexp gives you the handle list though

If dllhost itself was broken literally nothing in her computer would work

I was excited for the new cod (I love space) and overwatch until I saw this new battlefield trailer

You can be excited for two games at once

I honestly don't care about BF and CoD. My main issue is that these games are way too focused on fast-paced PvP multiplayer, which i can't take

I'm more of the "slow and steady shooter" player

I've never really liked CoD

Haven't played any of the newer ones though
