4 base game wasn't so great but The Ballad of Gay Tony was an awesome expansion

It was cool because it felt like they listened to the complaints people had for 4. Niko didn't really have a strong character and there wasn't much of a central narrative (you don't even get to fight the real bad guy!) so they focused more on that in Gay Tony

for one, if you have more than 1gb vram (or maybe 2?) you need to start it with certain launch option

Okay, so I managed to get GTA IV to boot, log into GFWL and start the benchmark. Problem is I'm booted to the desktop after 1 minute of benchmark with no error

A: How can I fix the graphics on GTA IV?

Since GTA IV was made a while ago, it gets confused when it has more than 2GB of VRAM available to it. You have to open up the properties either in steam, or in the shortcut of the game and set launch options to -nomemrestrict -norestrictions in order to be able to change the graphics settings.

and I play a lot of MMOs :(

which was the biggest reason why I had to get a new PC

while it still managed most SP games just fine, anything cpu intensive was a pain on it

it couldn't hold stable 60 fps even in Diablo 3, which is ancient by this time

meanwhile, it would run GTA V at near 60 fps at medium settings
