Unrelated dev at the client site keeps making changes to our code base when he hears that we couldn't do something for some reason or another, because he's all like "Oh, yeah, I can totally do that", and then I have to roll them back because NO DUDE, THAT INTRODUCES BUGS
I think it's a case of "Oh, the contractor said they can't do that? Well I totally can! Look!"
@Yuuki Yeah, but instead of a magic quill that writes the text in the back of your hand, it's a magic computer that writes the text into a public database
Why do I have 2 tabs for Klaus Barbie open?
Like, one with a google search and one with the wikipedia page
@KevinvanderVelden oh, now I remember. it was because I was thinking about the Rat Race movie from over a decade ago, where one of the racers thought the same thing and brought their family to a Klaus Barbie museum in America
They end up stealing hitler's car, the driver gets into a fritz with a motor gang, they crash into a WW2 veteran memorial service, after which the driver does a rather accurate rendition of a Hitler speech because he burnt his tongue on a car cigarette lighter
ICYMI: No, we are not going to make 'puppies' our Word of the Year. https://www.merriam-webster.com/news-trend-watch/in-a-time-of-uncertainty-a-divided-nation-searches-for-puppies-20161202
@KevinvanderVelden I had suspected it was a voltage problem with another component, but that doesn't seem to be the case
I really just need to bring in that set of female headers I bought to use with this project so I can just grab the board we currently have soldered in and actually program it without desoldering it every time
Since that board definitely worked last time I tried all this
@fredley Well, it's half a meg (500,000 bytes exactly) each time I perform a specific operation, and that operation might be done dozens of times, so it'll add up.

From multiple dungeon runs and from seeing hundreds of item drops, I have never seen a Titanforged Timewalking item. I've seen Warforged items, but not a single Titanforged one (and every item was blue quality). Can they Titanforge at all? Is there an official statement on how it works?
In regular mode, if I drop a special Emoji to the bottom of the playing field, it counts towards my collection that I am currently unlocking. Is the same true of ones that get dropped to the bottom in challenge mode? I don't get the same screen after where it shows me I unlocked collection Emoji,...
@Yuuki For me, childhood was low disposable income, high disposable time. Adulthood is the opposite.

@Ronan Yessssss. I loved it so, so much. I mean part of me loved it because I have a huge crush on Lin Manuel Miranda but aiso other than that it is just a very, very well done movie

Okay. Rapping is just not my cup of tea. I've occasionally encountered rap songs that I can listen to, but on the whole I'm not a fan of the genre/style.
(No, I do not need suggestions of rap songs to listen to. I know other people like rap and I'm perfectly fine with rap being a style of music. I've just come to terms with the fact that it's not my thing)
Gah, I want to go watch it tonight, but reset's tomorrow.

@Yuuki Hamilton kinda changed that for me, but I am the last to judge people on what they like considering my main genre of choice is traditional country
@Ash Well, what I mean is that I have encountered rap songs that I can listen to. Most of them tend to more melodical than what I normally hear of the genre. But while I can listen through, though maybe not like, a random choice of pop/country/classical/rock song, I can't do that with the average rap song.
@Yuuki I get that! I'm pretty similar in that regard. Hamilton has introduced me to more rap I like than before but it is still a genre I have limited like of.
@Sterno Holiday plans are currently "we have no idea where we'll be on any given day, I guess we'll figure it out later".
I expect we're probably staying home and then sometime in January we'll meet up with family and exchange the gifts we weren't able to at the normal times.
I hoped this would be fixed soon. Unfortunately I still got this problem:
Sometimes when I start Battlefield 1 from Origin it runs right into the first-launch-setting-screen. There where you can set your gamma and audiodevice settings. After doing so it just continious with the intro instead of ...
@Sterno Once you have one c-section, you pretty much have to have them for later births or else you risk rupturing the uterus. From my understanding, you don't want to rupture the uterus. That's bad.
The first one was not planned to be, it just wound up having to be done.
First kid was c-section and my wife decided she was never doing that again. Second kid was drugs. Third and fourth came so fast, they were pretty much as natural as could be.
For my first, my wife's blood pressure got too high, so she went to the hospital to be induced. They tried to induce, nothing happened, and her blood pressure got better, so they sent us home. Next week, her blood pressure was high again, so they sent us etc. and this time the doc said "no, you're having this baby today."
The best part after the kid is born and they finally sleep and you can sleep too is waking up and freaking out and checking to make sure they're still breathing because for some reason you think they're just going to spontaneously stop
@JasonBerkan They had me up by my wife's head. I had a video recorder with me and actually held it up angled down. I have video of the baby being removed from the incision. I AM PRO HUSBAND
@Sterno I started there, but then they had to put my wife under, at which point they do not want an untrained husband anywhere near the operating table.
So yeah title pretty much says it all. Specifically for an adventure map i would like a player to be able to say
/eat
which triggers a command block to activate a repeater
(i can go on from there).
If you can help that'd be dandy thanks.
It's when they're removing the sponges from your body cavities and counting them out before they sew you back up so that they don't accidentally leave any in that you realize just how thin the line is between medical miracle and total fucking disaster.
