Though it may be possible that a fire alarm automatically unlocks all emergency doors

For example, in an airport, activating an emergency exit sets off alarms, and the door can be opened in 10 seconds

Yeah, in my understanding, certain doors are rigged so that they need some kind of constant electricity to stay locked. That way if the building loses power, you don't get trapped inside.

Alternatively just install one of those push-bars I guess.

@ardaozkal really depends on what's causing the low fps, you could have a memory leak somewhere. Having the PC off for an hour won't be any better than just a simple restart would, unless you have an issue with temperatures, in which case, you would have noticed low fps long ago

you could even use a vacuum cleaner to suck the dust out, although some would advise highly against it, because vacuum cleaners generate static

last time I saw a dell laptop being open, the guy ended up breaking the motherboard (he needed to get the HDD out, because the laptop was dead already)

so I wouldn't bother with opening it up myself

consumer dell laptops aren't meant to be maintained by the user, they're a huge pain
