Can't find anything else, might be in a professional dentist publication that I can't access, but I'm seeing my dentist next week, and will ask her for the reference - she's the one who confirmed my son's cavity wouldn't be treated because of latest research two years ago, so when I do, I'll post it here. — Bamboo1 hour ago
I look forward to his/her update.
I blame @fredley for making me post on Lifehacks again.
@Wipqozn This reminds me of a really scary network question I saw about how people don't have their kids take care of baby teeth because "oh they're just temporary"
Going by super simple math, there's about a 20% chance the fungal infection I have would cause what they're seeing on my lungs, and about a .01% chance someone my age with no risk factors would have cancer that had metastatized like that, so I figure my odds are 2000 to 1 in my favor. If my math is wrong, don't correct me. Unless it makes it better. :)
Title says it all. Answer me that. When was Duke Fishron introduced? I want to know because It gets boring fighting the same bosses over and over again.
My brother has been trying different ways of getting the artifact without the Annoying Dog consuming it, but has been unsuccessful. I'm kind of curious as well. The artifact is obviously a throwing ball, but I kind of want to know the description for the artifact itself, and if you need to cheat ...
My wife and I both get to find out at about the same time in November whether the weird shit growing in us (me with stuff on my lungs, her with stuff in her brain) are cancer and are going to leave our kids without one or both parents. If I just sit and think about that all day, I'd go nuts.
@Sterno Actually, I think Wipqozn is right: If you work out the conditional proabilities, it should work out that the symptoms are very likely caused by the infection you know about, and that your odds aren't much worse than 1 in 10,000
This is a common scenario when typing:

After reading thousands of pages on the internet, I learn that going to a typical dentist can make things worse because drilling holes can eventually wreck teeth and root canals means losing a live tooth for an artificial one and that it can trap bacteria. A crown blocks access to the tooth inside meaning it can be more difficult to feed real nutrients to them. I had to post here because I'd rather have a natural solution for a few dozen dollars than have a dentist artificialize my mouth to their standards for thousands of dollars. — Mike14 mins ago
Is this "Doctors just want your money and are liars" a USA thing?
I never see it in Canada
Probably because Healthcare
> So I then recreated a website from ground up without the need for any content management system. Why? because they can be easily hacked, especially Wordpress. This is also why I don't have a job, because I refuse to rely heavily on CMS's to successfully run a site.
Uh. No. /b/ is a thing of its own. I watched that thing come into existence. That is an internet black hole of which nothing returns with sanity intact. Neopets is simply a pokemon knockoff.
It's been many years since those games came out, and in preparation for Legacy of the Void I'd like to replay the whole series. However, the Battle.net application is quoting me a ~20 GB download which is quite a lot for my internet connection. I'm also aware that the games have been heavily patc...
@JasonBerkan "Recasting Necromantic spells would have it's own penalty; with each spell cast, the statistical chance of rolling a 1 or 2 would increase." eeeeek
Warhammer and warhammer derivative games love using dice to possibly punish the player trying to do something. that's why we have skulls on bloodbowl dice that make you fail instantly!
> Among those who were hypnotized were 17-year-old Brittany Palumbo and 16-year-old Marcus Freeman. Palumbo committed suicide in 2011. Freeman was in a fatal car accident after apparently self-hypnotizing, a technique Kenney taught the teenager, also in 2011.
I should dig up the rgmw discussion where we argued about the probabilities of rolling at least two ones when rolling x dice. Pages and pages of bad statistics.
Wipqozn, there are stories that before grains and sugars were the norm, people never experienced decay. Back in the day, toothbrushes and toothpaste did not even exist. — Mike1 hour ago
"Back in the day" we had obnoxiously high infant mortality rates and slaughtered goats for sacrifices. Oh wait, did I say "back in the day"? I meant "In Florida, just recently".
> The predecessor of the toothbrush is the chew stick. Chew sticks were twigs with a frayed end used to brush against the teeth,[3] while the other end was used as a toothpick.[2] The earliest chew sticks were discovered in Babylonia in 3500 BC,[2] an Egyptian tomb dating from 3000 BC,[3] and mentioned in Chinese records dating from 1600 BC.
> The Greeks and Romans used toothpicks to clean their teeth and toothpick-like twigs have been excavated in Qin Dynasty tombs.
> The Greeks, and then the Romans, improved the recipes for toothpaste by adding abrasives such as crushed bones and oyster shells.
What are the maximum amount of enemies, doors, and teleport pipes that you can place in Mario Maker? I have ran into the issue before where I cannot place anymore enemies. I have a great idea for a level but I do not want to have to stop short since this will require a lot of time to create. The ...
