I'm only about 2 hours in, but I'm loving it so far. The combat is fun, though the party limit is kinda butts. My main complaint is the writing. Being a fairy tale, they try telling the story in rhyming verse, but it's usually pretty awful. The story is good, but the prose is bad.

I've been mostly playing Dark Souls 2, but I'll probably jump back on Child of Light over the weekend or something.

Project Beast would then be a spiritual successor to Dark Souls, which is still inaccurate as Dark Souls itself has a proper sequel/prequel/storyline's-really-convoluted-and-there's-time-travel-involved-so‌-no-one-really-knows in Dark Souls 2.

I'm not sure "spiritual successor" makes sense anyway since it's From software with both IPs. You usually say "spiritual successor" when you're totally unrelated to the project but hey my game's kinda like that too
