The word is derived from the terms Tsun Tsun (ツンツン), meaning to turn away in disgust, and Dere Dere (デレデレ) meaning to become 'lovey dovey'.

If you also look at the micro-economic effect of Powerlord's increased bacon demand on the bacon market, all other things being equal, you can see that it shifts the demand curve outwards, increasing the price while simultaneously increasing the quantity purchased.
