Back to 8.2 QPD? What window is used to determine this infernal number?

@Zaid "coolant" is also used in General Motors docs – example (when inside, use search): opel.ie/content/dam/Opel/Europe/ireland/hq/ie/04_Owners/…

@miroxlav Must be a German thing to call it coolant then which subsequently gets lost in translation

@Zaid or maybe Europe-America difference, similar to "petrol"-"gas". On the other hand, Wikipedia has rich entries for both "coolant" and "refrigerant" and they seem to be meaning two different things.
based on definition therein, "coolant" seems to sit better when used for transferring heat from an engine. Refrigerant is coolant used for achieving low temperatures.

@miroxlav : It seems like the word is "Kühlmittel", which suggests both coolant and refrigerant as translations.

@Zaid - Ref: Coolant v. Refrigerant ... Not that Google Translate is the end-all-do-all, but it has two separate words - Kältemittel=refrigerant while Kühlmittel=coolant (note that it has a secondary word of Kühlmittel as refrigerant, as well). translate.google.com/#en/de/refrigerant
This really needs to be differentiated. To me, if you really want to wrap you head around it, coolant can cool, while refrigerant can cool, but can freeze as well.
@Zaid - Ref: QPD ... I wish I knew. Weaksauce today, that's for sure. I'm working on a Q/A I'm going to throw on. Won't do much, but it's a little. I'm hoping to start adding one Q/A per day (if possible) so as to boost the stats of the page. Won't do much for APQ, but it will help the QPD a little bit.

@Paulster2 : Yes, I have a few of my own. Perhaps we should log them in a meta post lest we forget
Given how German is loosely translatable into English, I'd hazard a guess that "kühl" maps to "cool" and "kälte" is "cold", so cooler than cool :)
Isn't German just so logical? :D

Compared to English? Probably a lot more so!

FWIW, "mittel" translates to "medium", so "cool medium" and "cold medium". There, told ya it's logical!
