@Chad I agree that the question started out rocky, but in its current incarnation, the contents of deleted comments shouldn't be of concern, only the value of the question to future visitors. As it is, do you think that question is off-topic and unable to have future value?

@RhysW thanks for the edit!

@jmac no worries, hows things going btw? The workplace seems quieter than usual

@jmac I feel that I would rather delete crap like this and let someone with a real question have a chance to ask the real question

i still dont know what the OP is even asking, his story doesnt seem to tie in to the title

@RhysW That is because there is no question. The op wanted to rant about how horrible he was treated. Then he made up a lame story about a payoff of 2 weeks pay if he would stay that he turned down, or gave to his coworkers in the form of coffee and donuts or something else that was basically as incoherent as the original question

Ok so i tried to reread it and the closest it gets seems to be 'is there anything i can do about me being punished for breaking the rules, when my coworkers were not punished' other than that it seems a little ranty
If he feels unfairly treated at work that might make sense, but still

That is basically it... but he really just wanted people to say you are right that is unfair...
He wasnt looking for a solution to his problem

No i dont think he was looking for a solution, i was just clutching at straws so we could maybe edit it into shape for those who do want a solution
the solution is clearly 'behave yourself and follow the rules' but id rather have a good question to go with a good answer

1:50 PM
@RhysW I Would rather have that question deleted and let someone who wants to solve a real problem ask their own question. Otherwise they end up with there question closed dup of this crappy question

Im always in favour of keeping the better question. Should a better one come along i would have no qualms about closing this as the dupe to redirect to the better one. The older one isn't always the best one.

That is not how it usually works though...

No unfortunately, its one of the few things i disagree with in how closings are done
The better one should always be kept, migrate answers if we must. I'd rather have the high quality stuff stick around

And I would rather not see users like this rewarded by keeping their question around.

kept around but closed is fine is it not?
actually thats something ive never understood
why do we close things, then keep them. if its closed its not fit for the site, if its not fit for the site, why is it kept?
id like to emphasise this is my view on Closed questions, not On Hold questions

Q: How to fairly divide up equipment after a co-worker is dismissed?

ojblassAn employee was recently dismissed at our work place. His setup was enviable (a nice laptop, two huge matched monitors, a comfortable chair, and a machine with over 20 GB of memory) and some disagreements are surfacing over who should inherit the equipment. I personally think each item should b...

opine away :p
@RhysW Yeah if it hasnt been edited in 2 weeks it should be placed in closed... give it another week and purge that crap
legacy crap we want to keep around for historical sake should be locked
