@jrh Right, in my mind there is a distinct difference between a reference and a reference letter. References are still common. Reference letters not so much.

I just encountered an Excel spreadsheet that, instead of tables of information, contained images of tables, and embedded Word documents containing tables.

And some of the Word docs cut off half of the information that was in the tables, so you couldn't even see it unless you opened the doc.
