@zyabin101 You are quite widely 'researched', in some of the things you are prepared to bring up in conversation. I like that. Know that I like that. ;P
@trichoplax Yeah, I think this is actually one of very few examples that I can think of where I think they changed the story to fit the medium and it actually worked better than the original might have in that medium
@ColdGolf Alright ColdGolf, almost everything you say has no relation to what anyone else is talking about. That is entirely unwelcome behavior in here. At least two bullet points in the Chatiquette are relevant (don't post noise and don't ping people for no reason). Thus, I am telling you to stop. If you don't, I will kick-mute you. Continued bad behavior may result in lengthier suspensions.
@ColdGolf Although we don't yet impose a Turing test before chatting, it's strongly preferred that bots only talk in the bot testing room. Not doing so may cause problems for you as well as your bot
I don't dispute that it's a difficult challenge. I've just been surprised before by seeing some 8-byte Pyth solution posted like 30 seconds after the challenge, and then a 7-byte Jelly solution right after that. :D
@Vogel612 ok, thanks, I have never realy used that feature for chat, Haven't really seen to much "Spam/offenisve" comments, maybe just bothersome users
To the mod that declined my mod flag about the constant chat noise coming from one user: could you please set a definitive policy on what to do when the chatiquette is being violated? Chat flags are apparently not appropriate, but mod flags are also appropriate? How are users supposed to get moderator attention when a user or group of users is blatantly violating the etiquette that has been set for this room?
Generally computers are faster at working with numbers than strings. But when you think of problems in certain forms there might be a case for string processing algorithms for math. Is the problem below such a problem?

@LeakyNun Looks like none of them have been in here recently (the most recent seems to be Dennis), but all of them are pingable. Also, requests for migration are probably better expressed in a custom flag.
Actually, I said it was correct. It just requires a mental adjustment from saying "Lab" as one word to saying "L-a-b" as three letters. As it turns out, either way is fine, it seems. Wikipedia.
@flawr Heh, whoops. The choice of "a" or "an" actually depends on whether the first sound of the next word is a consonant or a vowel, respectively. For example, I would say "An SAT exam" instead of "A SAT exam" because I pronounce "SAT" as three letters - "ess ay tee". Likewise, for talking about the Lab color space, you can think of it as a single word, in which case "a Lab color" is correct, or as three letters (better written as L-a-b or similar), in which case "an Lab color" is correct.
@El'endiaStarman That makes sense, and I probably learned that at some point, and I think I vaguely still had that in mind. I intuitively wrote an Lab but then you reminded me of that rule=)
And I was really confused because I'd also say an RGB-image but that also starts with a consonant if you just look at the word=)
The complicating factor in the case of Lab is that it's not exactly an acronym, so the a and b are rightly written in lowercase. Which makes it look like a proper name, so you'd expect to pronounce it as one word, even though you could also rightfully pronounce it as three letters.
That's why I described it as "correct but aggravating grammar". :P
I recently had a similar thing when I had to actually talk in english, and I knew the words I wanted to use, but I noticed I have no idea how to pronounce them as I only knew them from books/other written stuff.
@El'endiaStarman You know and that is the one thing I hate most in english, you can read tons of words but I have no idea how to pronounce them, or you hear words and you have no idea how to spell them. (I love french in that regard=)

@DJMcMayhem For me, it was meme ... I always had pronounced it like "maim" (as in, to wound someone), but it's actually like "meam" (like "cream" but with an "m" in front)
@flawr Also, reading through the Reddit thread that DJMcMayhem posted, one of the words was "rendezvous", and that reminded me how I can never get the pronunciation of French words right if I haven't heard them before. Multiple times.
