@PeterTaylor It was obvious that code trolling was going to cause problems, sure. At the time, though, it wasn't immediately evident that "nuke it from orbit" was the only reasonable approach.
It was completely obvious to me and others that it would have been nuked from orbit on the first day if it hadn't been for everyone with close vote privileges being away for Christmas.
Some of my highest voted questions came to me spontaneously, just after a bit of "what kind of question should I make today" brainstorming: mona in gothic, showcase your lang, wall paint, interpret fish, those restricted-source ascii ones
Peter mentioned at some point the distinction in ASCII art challenges between art contests and programming contests. Whenever I think of some artsy thing, the programming aspect of it is usually pretty uninteresting. That's not to say I don't keep trying to think of things though.
