10:03 PM
I joined PPCG three months after that was posted, and code trolling was still alive and well for a few months afterwards.

@Doorknob Not really. He was stating the obvious.

Haha I love this: We need to take an official stance on code trolling basically says "Here's the stance now join me or go away."
"Vote how you want, as long as you don't upvote code trolling." (a paraphrase, not a direct quote)

@PeterTaylor It was obvious that code trolling was going to cause problems, sure. At the time, though, it wasn't immediately evident that "nuke it from orbit" was the only reasonable approach.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree.
It was completely obvious to me and others that it would have been nuked from orbit on the first day if it hadn't been for everyone with close vote privileges being away for Christmas.

10:19 PM
someone should tweet Hummingbird Technologies that their language has been put to good use :P

Must be hard in the life of a Calvin. So many expectations :P

11:11 PM
Bah. Immediately after posting my answer to "Prepare to die", I spot a way of shortening it considerably. Ah well, it's bedtime anyway.

11:21 PM
@Sp3000 What's going on?
What am I expected to do?
@MartinBüttner No, I probably won't post dehodorization. Anyone else is welcome to.

11:34 PM
@Sp3000: I think the harder part of life as a Calvin would be coming up with ideas for challenges that get 100k views and 800 upvotes every day.
@Calvin'sHobbies What we expect: youtu.be/6TFjxIRWCek
@MartinBüttner: Thanks for the academia link the other day! Very interesting.

@AlexA. Writing questions can be tedious but ideas are really not that hard.

For you maybe. ;)
I have yet to have a decent challenge idea.

I have a lot of ideas which I haven't turned into finished challenges yet.

11:49 PM
Some of my highest voted questions came to me spontaneously, just after a bit of
"what kind of question should I make today" brainstorming: mona in gothic, showcase your lang, wall paint, interpret fish, those restricted-source ascii ones

@PhiNotPi: A read through a few and they're good ideas! I think once they're finished they'll make great challenges.
@Calvin'sHobbies: My brainstorms are more just like brain-overcast days. :/
This is the only thing I've come up with and after more careful consideration I don't think it's very interesting.

@AlexA. Just doodle around with some ASCII art and you can get 15 votes easy (e.g. codegolf.stackexchange.com/questions/48100/…)

I loved Very Simple Triangles!
Peter mentioned at some point the distinction in ASCII art challenges between art contests and programming contests. Whenever I think of some artsy thing, the programming aspect of it is usually pretty uninteresting. That's not to say I don't keep trying to think of things though.
