@TheDoctor I would if I were an Android enthusiast.

I believe you mean

Don't let Geobits see your blasphemy

Oh no, my blasphemy is showing!
Quick, someone get me some pants

11:05 PM
@El'endiaStarman It just seems a little weird considering that we've had such a hard time towards the end of the challenge, and suddenly it's a lot easier again - it'd be like if someone posted a new answer for 95 ASCII

If that's what you want...

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ

@Sp3000 Mmm, point.

why is it not red?

11:08 PM

Because that's life
Gotta learn to deal

@Sp3000 Consider that the point of the languages was not to make easy golfing for the hello world challenge....

sniff You needn't remind me

11:11 PM
That's my job

@TheDoctor Infinite loop in ><> and Minkolang. Though they do different things. :P

11:15 PM
\o\

>o<

><

Same! Though now ><> and Minkolang function identically. :P

11:16 PM
O.o

><> `
             `<><

@flawr Haha. o in ><> outputs the top of stack as a character and o in Minkolang reads in a character from input.

k|| is the only infinite loop that acts anything remotely like ><> in Simplex #alone

@TheDoctor Same!
(Specifically, both languages would get stuck in the >< at the top left corner. :P )

Flagged as: duplicate

11:17 PM
@El'endiaStarman is there anything that isn't an infinite loop?

@TheDoctor Your fault is in using redirection characters. :P
And both languages are toroidal too.

If it wasn't for the fact that there's infinite zeroes on the bottom, I could almost say "Same!" myself for the above :P

@Sp3000 Oh right. >o< would actually error out in ><>.
So I was wrong for every example with o. :(

for(;;); <-- infinite loop in c ;)

:)
If we're talking solely infinite loops, then `` in Befunge and ` ` in ><> and Minkolang are the shortest infinite loops. :P

11:21 PM
><> can't do empty program :P
(Also trying to beat Minko at dropsort and I'm tying :/)

loop

@AlexA. Not to a topologist or knot theorist!

idk it looks like a loop to me

when does my star allowance reset?

11:24 PM
Midnight UTC
about 30 minutes

wheee

(I could be wrong on that though)
Because, you know, and whatnot.

I'm pretty sure if you pulled the two ends it'd all come undone, so not loop :P

Sounds like the kind of loops I write
while True:
    alex.sanity()--

you can't call an assignment operator to a function
unless it decrements the function pointer

11:30 PM
Who says this is Pything?

which would be not good
any language would have that problem

Spanish has no such problems

hola!()--
syntax error
2

Yeah, the correct Spanish syntax is ¡Hola!

@El'endiaStarman I think at this rate my language will be developing like Pyth did - starting out similar to the parent language then breaking those similarities left, right and centre

11:34 PM
@Sp3000 I have no such thing to worry about. :P
But yeah, that sounds about right.

Yeah I've been tossing up whether to have complex numbers or not, but I think I might. It'd make input a lot easier to handle :/

If you want a reasonably conside way to represent complex numbers, you can take a page from APL's book and use z = xJy where x = real(z) and y = imag(z).

@Sp3000 It's actually not possible to take complex numbers as input in Minkolang, but I can do 1~12$:; to get (approximately) (0+1j). That's how my Mandelbrot program starts.
Hmm. I should clarify that it's not possible to take complex numbers as input with the way the interpreter is now.

Actually... scratch that. I'll think about it some other time :P

^ excellent problem solving method

11:37 PM
Nah, I had a better idea

Was it nachos? Because nachos are never a good idea.

nachos are always a good idea.

No

[tag: alex-is-wrong-about-nachos]

Why ruin perfectly good tortilla chips?

^ nevermind I'm switching to non-nachos

Here's what you do: You make fresh guacamole, you make fresh salsa, you get some decent tortilla chips, and you do not, under any circumstances top it with cheese.

Is sour cream okay?

11:48 PM
NO

I got rekt by someone with 5k rep on Mathematica SE

You are not wrong

@AlexA. I like cheese but not sour cream on my nachos.

Incorrect. You do not like nachos.

Nachos are a Tex-Mex dish from northern Mexico. The dish is composed of tortilla chips (totopos) covered with cheese or cheese-based sauce, and is often served as a snack. More elaborate versions add more ingredients and can be served as a main dish. First created circa 1943 by Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya, the original nachos consisted of fried corn tortillas covered with melted cheddar cheese and sliced jalapeño peppers. == HistoryEdit == Nachos originated in the city of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, just over the border from Eagle Pass, Texas. In 1943, the wives of U.S. soldiers stationed at Fort...
The definition says to put cheese on them
Are we talking about the same dish

11:52 PM
No. I'm saying don't eat nachos because nachos are a waste of chips.
This is my recommendation in their stead:

I don't usually eat nachos but when I do they have cheese on them because that's the definition of a nacho
Most of the time I just have guacamole on my chips

I'm not saying nachos shouldn't have cheese. Nachos should have cheese. What I'm saying is that nachos shouldn't exist.

Ah. I get it now.

11:54 PM
I feel very strongly about this.

I do know something that is always wrong
Oh god I'm scared to eat them

...That's a thing?

Yes
Carne asada fries are a local specialty found on the menus of taquería-like Mexican restaurants primarily in the American Southwest, including San Diego, where it originated. This item is not normally featured on the menu at more traditional Mexican restaurants. The dish is served at Petco Park. Beginning in 2015, the dish was also available at Dodgers Stadium. == OriginEdit == Lolita's Mexican Food, in San Diego, claims to have originated the dish in the late 1990s, inspired by a suggestion from their tortilla distributor. == IngredientsEdit == The dish typically consists of french fries, carne...

Good lord.
This doesn't even look like food

San Diego is home to some great mexican food. This is not it.
If someone offers you this, say no.
The cardiac arrest isn't worth it.

11:58 PM
*Say no vehemently

I would anyway, even without having witnessed this travesty.

Also say no to this

If it has 40 times the calories you need to live, just say no. :P

@AlexA. Good.
