Helooo

@Rojo Sorry about that collision :(

@WReach Its ok. I just came back after some days, and was surprised that that question was still unanswered

@Rojo Hey, for me an 8-hour old question is brand spanking new! :)
BTW, I finally tried to switch my OpenID from Google to SE -- and it failed miserably. I keep getting an error page from StackExchange. Oh well.

@WReach You are used to tackling the unanswerable questions :)
@WReach Really? Weird

@Rojo Probably something in my browser config. No 3rd-party cookies for example. I'll play with that some other time, when I feel like swimming in (a different) black hole.

3:30 AM
@WReach I don't allow 3rd party cookies either I think
but, who knows, long time since I last signed in
@WReach No v10.0.1 yet right?

@Rojo I'd say that I'd try to perform the operation in IE 'coz that always works, but if that is true on SE then heads had better roll. :D
No v10.0.1.

a new kind of... no, stop that!

@WReach You are trying to stop that. Now I know you aren't SW

@Rojo :) I wonder how big their critical bug backlog is? I know I'm reporting lots of problems and, judging from the posts here on MSE, so is everybody else. It might be taking WRI a bit longer than they expected to clear the critical bugs.
Not to mention summer holidays...

3:40 AM
@WReach I thought that's why they were planning on v10.0.2 too. I always forget to consider the northern people have their summer holidays at this time of the year
A few days ago for the first time I got an email from WRI saying that some of my reported bugs had been fixed

@Rojo I've noticed that it has taken WRI weeks to even acknowledge my most recent bug reports. That is much slower than usual. More evidence that they are busy.

I selected "Automatic" option in the Default Kernel menu and I got this message:
> Cannot find the kernel with the specified name "Automatic".

I'm surprised of finding out that using Method -> "Simplex" instead of "RevisedSimplex" seems to execute dramatically faster for a LinearProgramming problem I'm playing with.

anybody ever try to interface mathematica and julia?

@shrx. I tried selecting Default Kernel > Automatic on my install (V10 on OS X 10.6.8). No problem ensued.
