@YannisRizos Thanks for the explanation. I don't think the explanation is all that great, but it's not a horrific enough question to pitch a meta fight over it. Locking seems like a reasonable enough action at this point.

Bad code can be salvaged; resist the urge to rewrite the software.

Q: Sorting criteria for the view of votes

MichaelTThe favorites tab can be sorted by activity. This sorts based on the last activity date for the entire question (I don't see exactly what field that is on Data.SE - might be a 'fun' join to get that from the question favorited to the max modification date all the posts that have it as a parent)....

@Bill So killing AI.SE wan't really because of low-level questions? (-; — mbq Jan 12 '11 at 0:23

@MichaelT Killing AI.SE was because it was poorly defined and both overly broad and overly narrow at the same time, IIRC.

Back from camping, ordered Salvadorean food, have a chocolate milk stout for later, and am staring at a book on networking and firewalls while technically working. Not a bad night. :)

user20683
@AshleyNunn welcome back

user15026
@WorldEngineer Thanks! I gotta say as much as camping was fun, I like being back in the land of internet.

user20683
@AshleyNunn I always liked hiking (more in Cali, less here) and open freshwater kayaking. Not really a tent person but a cabin would be nice

user15026
@WorldEngineer We have a tent and a camper, and we always go where we can have electricity and flushing toilets. :P I like hiking, but like biking more, and swimming. Sadly, it was too cold to swim much :(

I like the idea of boats like canoes and kayaks, but let's just say unless you like going in circles, you should not let me captain either one ;)

user20683
@AshleyNunn I never found swimming much fun, I burn like a flambé and the Pacific is very cold

user20683
being nauseated by chlorine's smell doesn't help anything

user15026
@WorldEngineer Ah, I don't burn, and here the lakes are decently nice. Especially if you drive more south to Lake Erie. We were off the shore of Lake Huron, so it was cold most of the time, but I have a decent fat layer so it wasn't too bad, but colder than I like.

user15026
I prefer lakes to pool swimming, but in the winter I will swim in pools.

@AshleyNunn <--all the body fat of a snake

@WorldEngineer There's a reason I want a whale tattoo, let's just say.

user20683
@AshleyNunn You eat krill?

user15026
@WorldEngineer laughs Something like that.
