@PeteH not more than two days ago my acquaintance had to take a guy representing North Korea to the Museum of Occupation in Riga. That must be quite awkward to tell about all the repressions, censorship, deportations and so on to a guy from a country who officially does the same thing.

@Rilakkuma difficult to know what they think, also what it is really like over there. I long since concluded that everything we read about these places is subjective.
The museum yesterday, it ended with some stuff about how the EU grew, with the implication that it is the EU that has prevented a repeat of the war. But plenty of people would disagree, and when they tried to put forward an EU Constitution a few years back, the Dutch themselves voted it down.
@Mσᶎ let's hope that's a good thing then......it's always nice to have someone cute to work with ;)

@PeteH well, she has made a wordpress site that looks kinda plausible, albeit the stock photos are awful and... well, actually, I'm no aesthete so it's possibly not useful for me to critique that side of things except to say "the photos make me want to close the page and not go back".
Which is a bit naff given she's supposed to be doing the graphic design part of the deal.
GradBoy and I share doubts that WordPress is a good backend for an ecommerce site, but this is one of those times when arguing is likely to annoy everyone. So we will wait and see what comes out.

I used to try to do thing in WordPress. Then I moved on to less absurd platforms.
WordPress is great for "install a bunch of plugins and write WYSIWYMG content and hope for the best" sites, not so good if you're trying to do anything complicated. Or write a half-decent theme without wasting way too many hours of your life.
