8:17 PM
clean up?

hm?

8:51 PM
Someone was having a clean up of their old questions.

9:41 PM
oh. i dont think so. it was this question: bicycles.stackexchange.com/questions/42127/…
im not big on keeping authenticity

I'm big on understatement. I don't like big brandnames and slogans
plain coloured things are more appealing than fancy patterned things
The rear mech has a job to do, and if it works then all is good.
authenticity is only important in a showboat, leroica rides, and museums

@Batman But a nice surprise. It's not that old really. I think it means he actually did what you suggested and was happy with it. IMO it's better to have a considered acceptance like that then when someone accepts the first halfway reasonable answer within hours. Deters others from making the effort to answer.

10:57 PM
@Batman yeah, I kinda of appreciate it. It's better when they say "I did this and it worked", but accepted late does suggest that that was the case.

A: Tool for Cannonade Carbon Si Crankset

MóżYou may be able to use a two-pin adjustable BB tool. That search pulls up a lot of images of the tool I'm thinking of, and they're available right down to $5 or so (from my comment since we haven't got a better answer)

that was accepted recently, which is kinda odd because it's IMO a kludge even though it's also very likely the correct approach. I mean, the tool is sold for the purpose. It's that that IME it's very easy to bent those tools to uselessness if the BB is even a little bit stuck. The solid-metal version is better, albeit 5x the price.
@andy256 today is a negative LOC day - I'm chopping out half the work I've done in the last two-three months because we have changed our approach. It's a good decision, but it's still not a great feeling.

11:18 PM
@andy256 - true. I don't normally see it though.
