Good for you on the Rohloff, I've always wanted one and just haven't gotten around to it. I've always just snipped the spokes as close to the nipple as possible, then hammer tapped them through the rim if necessary. Then the process started bending the spokes and locking the ends under the bend at the end so they could be used to hang tags off bikes.
I've seen a few questions just pop up from this account. It seems like the answers that are posted are actually relevant and typed by a human, but it's obviously an account that belongs to a corporate entity rather than belonging to an individual. The name and logo are of that corporate entity. ...

Viz, the user doesn't know quite how much they don't know, so they assume it's easy to specify the things they care about and easy to measure the result of any changes they suggest.
@ChrisinAK you may have missed your chance on the hub, during the GFC there were some very cheap ones available (largely due to the Greek crash meaning Greek bike shops dumping anything that could be sold). I bought a Rohloff built into a 406 wheel for my partner and that was about $AUS1500 delivered from starbike. At the time that was about $US1500, but now it's more like $US1000 :(
And the same thing from starbike now is well over $AUS2000... so probably still about $US1500.
