I'm voting to close mark "Premium SSL" vs "Stanard SSL" certificates - Any reason why I would want a "Premium SSL"? as a duplicate. It already has 4 votes to close as a duplicate of What are the advantages of EV Certificate?.
But when I click “duplicate”, the wind...

Or we can just close them all as off-topic, provide a link to the Launchpad bug if there is one, and provide a link to other relevant open or closed questions (with or without answers). Still, I think we should be able to close questions as duplicates of unanswered questions, and this is one of the reasons. This, and self-dupes. How are we supposed to close them?!
@AbrahamVanHelpsing Yes, you have my sympathies. And if your position is that the recent change is not so good, then I am in 100% agreement. I'm open to Shog9 or someone changing my mind...but nothing anybody has said yet has come close to doing that.
@EliahKagan this is probably an easy one, I'd like to know where or how do I specify an address with the -m flag? According to the man pages is sends mail to the user once the job is done
@Peachy I think you have to be running an MTA to use that effectively.
You may want to post a question on the site about that; if an MTA is required, someone may be able to answer with a software recommendation and instructions for installing and configuring it for this purpose.
@Mahesh If the problem arose from manually starting X and Unity, rebooting and allowing them to start normally should fix the problem. As for how to investigate the problem, you can look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log, /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old, the logs in /var/log/lightdm, and .xsession-errors and .xsession-errors.old in your home directory. You can also log on as guest to see if the problem is user-specific, as it might be that you are logged in but then the session terminates immediately.
I see all these links explaining packages and .debs... I know that... and there are many kludges to get tar.gz files working (eg: update-alternatives for Java or manually dropping the file in /usr/local/bin (or somewhere else, which I had deduced from hours of searching)). If packages are so smar...
I tried to move like as follows:
./* to /opt/sana
Then it asked this:
mv: try to overwrite `/opt/sana/media', overriding mode 0755 (rwxr-xr-x)?
Now, how do I override the files in current folder to /opt/sana.

I am working on an Ubuntu Mod, and I would like to change the name/splash screen/login screen/etc in order to make it a more customized environment. I've been able to change all of the names shown via the terminal, but no luck as of yet using gconftool-2 to change anything else. Am I missing so...
I would like to customize Ubuntu live CD by installing some additional packages. I have followed this link but it doesn't seems to work. Can anyone provide clear instructions? Thanks in advance!

@EliahKagan it may not be complete in terms of removing all Canonical/Ubuntu references but at least answers tell us a lot on where to look to change themes, wapplapers, apps, and so on.
