Q: What exactly constitutes the Ubuntu iso file that you download when you "download Ubuntu"?

AdrianIs it just Debian but with more packages specified in the manifest file, or is there anything else included?

@terdon I'd say questions about Ubuntu packages (like Ubuntu Kernels, Netplan, Ubuntu Pro etc.) are pretty Ubuntu specific (although to my learning, Debian has now adopted Netplan)
 
@ArturMeinild Yeah, that's the thing, very, very few things are Ubuntu specific. After all, there are many Ubuntu derivatives which will share software with Ubuntu but are not on topic here. For some reason, many people think the scope of AU is "things that are specific to Ubuntu" but I honestly don't think anything apart from questions about Canonical is exclusive to Ubuntu.
Our scope has always been "applicable to Ubuntu", never "unique to Ubuntu"
