OK, I managed myself to uninstall Ubuntu-desktop and here is my command to do it. and if you need only unity removed, just sudo apt-get remove unity

Q: Why is my badge count different in different places?

@Oli I fixed the issue with flickering screen using nouveau drivers by installing mainline kernel from daily/current build. It is also more stable

Migration paths between UL and AU are not open that way. We all know each other anyway.

Also, I think an interesting addition to package management is a - dump error to graphviz dependency chain dot file. If it were added to say USC, it could be the app's killer feature instead of just a UI that is more user and less admin.

The last bit is sort of a feature request for package managers... it might exist for one of them that I don't know about, but it should be an obvious feature.

Graph showing the broken ones. So you can find the root dependency that pulls in the others so you can jump straight to the root of the conflict.

It was talked about on meta for a while (a troubleshooting tools package). Seems like concensus was "too complex to be trivial, not trivial enough to be treated as complex... Ugh."

the other problem with that type of thing is you have to find a way to break your system to test it ;)

The launchpad bug reporting page would so read "if you can furnish a shell script to make an LXC container exhibit your problem that the tool doesn't find the root cause of properly, i'ld be happy to take a look at it" well, i wouldn't say that on launchpad... but I would want to soo bad.
